France probably have the best team/squad though. Although in my view not in the same league as 1998, then again I think the opposition was stronger then.

Was unsure at first but seems like a decent enough move. Got plenty of quality and knows he's gonna be back-up to start with. If he doesn't work he doesn't become a starter and it's a low cost for a player who can do something special.

France are weird. Top, top squad with quality in absolutely every area who have underperformed but ended up in the final of the last two major tournaments. So many contradictions but in the end they grind out results, and thats all that matter in a knockout tournament.

best squad maybe, but I reckon Belgium have a better first 11 - on paper, anyway.

Croatia 4 places lower in the FIFA rankings than Colombia. Using this as my calming mantra throughout today.

For today only will ignore common sense that tells me the rankings are meaningless.

This will be reversed should we still be in it at 10 pm tonight

There isn't much to say. It'll be a tough game and hopefully they can get through. I personally don't think we have enough quality but this England team keeps on surprising us, lets hope they do it twice more.

I think Croatia will be struggling tonight especially with the 2 games they've had previous going the full distance.

I'm optimistic.

I've effectively been given a one match ban from the pub by the missus after Saturday's mess so i need us to get to the final so i can join my mates again

I am the other way around, can not get back to proper football and every one moaning about internationals and the international break. 

First game of the season at the weekend, telford united v villa.
