I was obviously aware of the Julian Temple movie but didn't know about this one. Not sure on the year, it features Porno For Pyros which was 93 but also some other bands who I've found listed as 94 & 95.

Anyway, if you have Amazon Prime, it's now up for grabs on there. The site looks amazing, so much space, ridge tents a-go-go, sun shining, stunning.

Yeah was looking at this the other day, read loads on it. Seems to predate 95 and very much a period piece. Lots of Evan Dando I imagine.

Just finished watching it now. The farm looks amazing, beautiful weather, beautiful people. Very little on the music, lots of shots of the site and the people. Loved it.

The video quality on this is incredible for the era. Most nineties video that's not covering the stages looks like this:

My favourite Gasto movie and it's become tradition to watch it the night before leaving for the farm.  It was filmed in '93 but released a couple of years later.  I have a multi disc DVD version, where you can mess about with the playing order of scenes, plus loads of additional audio.  It goes on for over 24 hours, and contains lots of Evan Dando gatecrashing campfires and stealing girlfriends to the sounds of My Drug Buddy.

yes, though it's been repackaged and renamed at some point since i got it.  Mine is just called Glastonbury:  The Movie.

I'll add, now that it's in my mind, that there's some great DVD extra scenes on the version I have, notably an uncut helicopter shot where they take off from interstage and circle over the site - not something allowed these days.  The festival then was about half the size of today.

Also there;s some footage of the raves that happened in the markets, both in the dark, and then a few hours later in broad early morning daylight where some very twatted people get interviewed.

If i could find a way to upload that, given that it's not a straight dvd rip, I'd would, cos there's precious little footage of that sort of thing out there.
