How credible is this Clashfinder for the Saturday?  https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2019/  Jarvis looks rather high up.   Parquet Courts look a bit early? I assumed Interpol and the Raconteurs would pretty much clash?  I was at the National and Cave days last year and on the National day, timings seemed to shift quite a lot on the fly.

Not very I hope. Probably won’t be able to get in to there till 3 after getting into London at 1 and checking into the hostel so don’t wanna miss Dream Wife at 2. Does seem like there’s some big gaps for turnovers in between acts. Would think The Strokes would be on closer to 9ish too.

I don't think it's too far off, but the author has marked it as '5 - Don't even think about it', which means it's probably only based on their hunches, and not too much concrete.

Some acts were on really early last year though, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was stuff on before 3pm that you'd want to see. The line-up for that day, in particular, is stacked.

My hunches. :D But yeah, nobody should think of planning anything until the times are on the app. I’m just guessing based on last years times and the current poster.

On another note, The Staves have been added to Mumford & Sons’ day.

Ah - thanks Dental. If I knew it was you, I would have regarded it with a little more weight.

Definitely can't see there being a 70 minute wait for The Strokes after Raconteurs, the gaps vary massively though - after all the problems on the National day last year. I think maybe Jarvis will start a bit early at a similar time to Interpol and then the Strokes will start 5-10min earlier in the gap of no music created. It does seem fairly accurate though unless they decide to clash stuff like on most other days last year (all of weekend one too)

Any chance of Jarvis playing Common People - not been played properly yet solo but i would absolutely hate to miss it, is it a thing that he won't play it i'm guessing. Johnny Marr playing charming man, he only played it for the first time at his most recent gig so fingers crossed i guess. Going to be an awesome day though, looking like Parquet Courts -> Johnny Marr -> Raconteurs -> Interpol -> Strokes at the moment, i still need to do some more research though into the acts between parquet and johnny marr if anyones got reccomendations, plus the gap between johnny and raconteurs

I've noticed on the non-gig days there's a screening and Q&A panel of the documentary Goodnight London, which looks at how turning everything posh and building more train stations is fucking up communities and closing down music venues. I've been meaning to watch that for awhile so I may go down on that day.

Thanks for the effort! Do you think Jarvis will be on so late? I am interested because celtic are playing at 3pm and I'm hoping to see it on tv - I can't recall if you were allowed last year to go out and come back in? I would be sorry to miss Jarvis, or parquet courts..

Also - I am intending to buy 4 tickets thus evening. Does anyone have any discount codes they could give me? Thank you!

I feel like this new Jarv Is show - as the fully considered concept - needs the full hour or so, and probably won’t be in a supporting capacity. Just a guess, mind.

You won’t be able to get out and in again though. Standard fare of all festivals, sadly. You’re captive to their expensive refreshments!

Thank you, I couldn't see this program on the site. Perhaps they removed it after the Saturday strikes day tickets sold out? I couldn't get any there, or on see tickets, but gigantic still have some. It must be selling very well. I don't think any day sold out last year apart from Cave?

What time is last entry?

I have tickets to Strokes day but I might be required to be elsewhere during part of the day so may not be in before 6 or 7. Would this be too late?

Nah, it should be fine. Normally last entry is when the headline bands just comes on. It's probably on their website if you want to double check.

Last entry is 8.30pm, so you'll be fine.

Any more bands to be announced on the BMTH day?

Think so. Should at least be a few acts for Firestone, maybe some acts on main stages too.

Yeah they’ve been announced for JägerHaus.

Cool.

I'll just have to wait and see what's going on. Hopefully I'll have a greater indication when the stage times are released, whenever that'll be.

Ah OK thank you.  Regarding Jarvis, I have no concept of his potential popularity anymore.  Have seen him at several theatre sized venues (doing Room 29, and another time his solo albums) and also headlining festivals with the reformed Pulp.  I assumed he would be on before Interpol, on the smaller stage?  Jarv Is seems to be more solo album type stuff and nothing more elaborate?

I think he's already tested out the Jarv Is concept. It is mostly his new material with no Pulp songs, apparently very good but still can't see him drawing a big audience. When was Pulp's last big hit - 20 years ago? and it's a been over six years since they ended that reunion run so can't imagine younger audience that interested in him but then I suppose you could say the same and more about Johnny Marr.

Probably second or third to last on one of the second or third stage.
