headliner?

Not impossible, but I'm not really buying into the idea at the mo.

Agree, really can't see the Strokes as a Pyramid headliner these days. They're neither new enough or enough of a heritage act. If they are at Glastonbury I would guess would be Other headliner/Pyramid sub or sub-sub material.

Agree with others that they're a good fit for APE

THE STROKES will perform their first UK gig in four years at All Points East. They join an impressive  line-up featuring THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS,  INTERPOL, JAMES BLAKE and a host of others for the ten-day bonanza in Victoria Park, East London, which begins on May 24.

Where did you see this?

There’ll only be a full list if they publish the poster. Otherwise it’s about 20 words in the Guilty Gutter or whatever it’s called.

Gna guess that James Blake is being added to Christine day, as I would suspect that’s selling pretty awfully and he’s doing quite well at the moment.

I was assuming they would publish the poster. They chuck a hell of a lot of money on advertising.

Good thinking on JB, would make sense.

The Strokes are to headline a night at All Points East in what will be the band’s first UK performance for four years.

The band will perform in East London's Victoria Park on Saturday, May 25, topping a bill that also includes The Raconteurs, Interpol, Johnny Marr, Parquet Courts, Jarvis Cocker, Courtney Barnett, Connan Mockasin, Anna Calvi, Bakar, The Nude Party and Viagra Boys. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 1.

The Strokes last performed in the UK at British Summer Time Hyde Park 2015. Both festivals are promoted by AEG Presents.

All Points East has also announce further names to the opening weekend’s bill. Joining The Chemical Brothers on Friday, May 24 is Jon Hopkins, as well as Peggy Gou (Presents Gou Talk), Róisín Murphy, David August, Optimo, Petite Noir, Josey Rebelle, Ge-ology and DMX Krew.

Then, on Sunday, May 26, Christine And The Queens will be joined by James Blake plus Kamasi Washington, Princess Nokia, Bob Moses, Lane 8, Andrew Weatherall, Yves Tumor, Joy Orbison, Moxie (Presents On Loop), Octo Octa, Galcher Lustwerk and Paquita Gordon.

Looking pretty strong all round, although I imagine the Christine day is still gonna struggle despite the additions there.

Some great additions there.

Connan Mockasin was initially announced on the Bon Iver poster (as well as Mitski). I wonder if he's changed days or playing both, presumably the former?
