I'd be very surprised if Gabi passed up the opportunity to book them, they've never played Primavera Sound have they? I know that mostly the headliners have new music at the time of playing but Sigur Ros didn't in 2016 Difficult to say, maybe since they never have played Primavera before. Would just be so strange to book them now. They have toured the "same" show for the last 4-5 years.

puckno
Tame Impala rumoured to have a new record mid 2019. Played Primavera in 2016, 3 years should be alright.

Wouldn't be a booking that would particularly excite me but I can see it happening. Wouldn't be great if we had all of Tame Impala, The Strokes and Vampire Weekend as some of the headliners in my opinion, would like a bit more diversity than that. One or two of them would be okay though. If Tame Impala did pay then I hope their speakers don't blow out like they did last time! kingcrawler
I originally thought Vampire Weekend seemed likely for this but I'm starting to think they'll end up doing Governors Ball instead. We seem to have had a few obvious shouts in the last couple of years but next year seems really hard to predict.
Chilly Toad
Kiss? Please no. Ramstein? I would say possible in general but obviously not this year. Kraftwerk? Great fit. Please yes. How about Marianne Faithful? New album, Nick Cave had to do with it, would consider her a good fit.
Chilly Toad
Also, read as an aside to Bon Iver's Berlin concert that they are rumored to be at PS19. Anyone know where that came from?

Swanmob
The likely candidates you've all mentioned would be good and all but nothing to really get the juices flowing yet! What do you reckon is the likelihood of a December announcement as has been suggested?

Won't be with Big Red Machine. Bon Iver are about next summer - first show announced so far is a week after Primavera. Agree that it's too soon though. Heh, yes, you are right, checking my setlist.fm record I can see that I attended that show as well… I have seen Tame Impala 5 times; Brisbane 2011, Oslo 2012, Primavera 2013, Oslo 2016 and Primavera 2016. I can say their live performance have developed a lot during these years. Will love to see them again - if new material.
