The pangs of hiraeth

Recommended Posts

Every day now I ride my bike through Singleton Park and I see not just the metal roll-out roads and green fences being laid down, but the very, exact same metal roll-out roads and green fences transplanted from my beloved Somerset fields to my home town. It hurts to see them and know I will not be going to the fields of Avalon this year. Pangs.

Fe all cael ein hatgoffa’n flynyddol am yr anwylyn a gollwyd adnewyddu’r gwewyr.

Hiraeth.

Next year is the only cure.

In all honesty, I chanced on this. I was in the vicinity at the right moment, simple as that. It was magical.

This is not a very loud recording.

Turn it Up. A lot...

Now turn it down again, a bit, sorry about all that.

Yes. Slightly, mostly self-depreciating. I think, I'm never sure with this band, I love this so much, despite any mind games.

Even Siberia goes thru the motion?

I once heard five UK number One singles, played live over the course of the weekend on main stages and performed by the original artists. High Praises  if you can guess the year and five tracks?

This is one of the artists, but not this track.
