Pjonze
If you look at R1's playlist from Feb onwards you can see who's booked to play - both Catfish & BMTH stuck around far longer than was necessary with very average singles. Used to be as many as six but it’s been three the last few years, although the third stage is just for BBC Introducing so everyone announced today and previously will be shared between two stages

There’s a few whoppers like C&TB and HRVY, but judging by some of the crap they’ve resorted to booking in big slots TRNSMT would kill to have secured a couple out of Miley, VW, Future, TDCC, The 1975 and Khalid let alone all of them. And getting Little Mix and M&S as non-headliners is still really strong, even if neither are what they once were in terms of popularity. Can’t believe they’ve booked Sean bloody Paul again though, how many Radio 1 listeners in 2019 are fans of him ? Can’t believe they’ve booked Sean bloody Paul again though, how many Radio 1 listeners in 2019 are fans of him ? He features on pretty much every song they play on radio 1, so I'd imagine plenty. Plus he can come on for plenty of collaborations. Edited March 11, 2019 by Chavmeisterdeluxe
DomDom1984
Comparing Big Weekend to TRNSMT is daft as fuck. They put headline size acts on at lots of times. It's not your traditional have headliner and work down type deal. Which gives them a lot more space to put big acts.

It does but there’s still gonna be some kind of payment varying by act. There was that story about HAIM firing their booking agent for accepting 10% of the fee an equivalent male act got, at a festival which they didn’t name but was fairly obviously R1BW. Anyway it’s besides the point Edited March 11, 2019 by Rose-Colored Boy
