Not playing.  Surprised but no chance they’re rushing back from America

It's not rushing back is it, Saturday or Sunday were doable...they aren't an aging band and Detroit is at least East side kind of, agreed it's probably much less likely now. It probably makes a Reading slot likely now as I don't believe the Citadel show is English Exclusive?

Catfish are not playing the "metal slot". I know the definitions of the acts doing it the last few years are pretty fluid but they were at least acts you could hear on a jukebox in a rock/metal pub.

Give it up with the bloody metal slot!, Royal Blood played it last time, ZZ Top have players it!....now you can just about give me Motorhead in some twisted way but the others are only metal in someone's delusional mind! Rock covers a lot of spectrums and Catfish fit into that whether you like it or not. Napalm Death played the Hell Stage....let's rename that!

The Streets are very low on the poster. Everyone has been placing them high up in predictions though which I have been a bit confused by - are they more popular than they were?

Edit - didn’t realise this had already been said.

Tbh i thought there was no chance of The Streets subbing or headlining Other...last year maybe if Glastonbury was on but they've had their big moment now.

Tell this to Emily, not us.

Maybe I’m misremembering but didn’t somebody say they’re in America on the Friday? Which hopefully rules them out.

Didn't see this to group it in above, they play America on Wednesday so there would be enough time to return. Just maybe the time between Glastonbury and TRNSMT is too much for no other shows. No festivals shows the week after either so a two week gap.

I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that the festival are currently discussing with Yannis and the lads about swapping their pre-agreed secret slot for the Saturday Other headliner spot.

Would seem the obvious solution... but Foals vs Killers is maybe too much of a crossover?

If it is indeed still a slot, as we’re led to believe, then it seems clear it’s a more general hard rock slot and we shouldn’t be focusing on the word ‘metal’. Royal blood are miles away style-wise from Catfish, they’re far heavier and closer to the previous ones. Plus, there’s the small matter of Catfish playing a show in Minneapolis, Minnesota that same day.

That's fair man, I actually didn't see the Minnesota date until now, hasn't been announced long and isn't on their own dates yet I don't believe so yes that does rule them out completely. I've not got a feeling they may be subbing next year in the Foals vein of co-headlining Reading also.

Sounds like you got a problem with him expressing himself. Over confident? Being confident doesn't make you not humble. What does that even mean?

If that’s what he’s like why was he not like that beforehand? Album 1? Publicity he knew how to play the public to make him huge! I have no problem with him being who he is now, but why the change all of a sudden?

I reckon they've agreed to play lower now and it's something I could Mike Skinner accepting.

Still thinking JP header myself

Just praying they’re not Saturday

Yeah i'm like 20 mins away from the festival

Aight well you should qualify for a local Sunday day ticket. There’s a resale for those at the end of April. That’s the only Glasto day ticket that exists. More info in this link:
