Boardmaster 2018 - just for teens?

Hey, dont let that thought put you off.

I went to boardmasters 2017 aged 19. Whilst from memory it appeared the majority (70% guess) of those attending were 16-25,  i also noticed many instances of parents with their children at the main stage, beach, and a few smaller stages. If you want to avoid areas densely populated with teenagers, avoid the dance tent. Presuming you're camping - It is noisy late into the night, so if that's a problem, of course, just mind who you're pitching your tent next to

Comparing the 2017 and 2018 line up, the same musical prerequisites are being met eg. Chem bros for Jamiroquai  (fun older act), Kano for giggs (grime), Gorgon City for Annie Mac (house) etc. Hence expect a similar crowd in terms of age range this time too

From my experience, the crowd at boardmasters is overall a friendly one, i'd definitely recommend it to families and without doubt people in their 40's would enjoy it. The staggering beach setting contributes to a relaxed atmosphere during the day. If anyone in a crowd calls someone out for attending because of their age, they're a bit of a dick aren't they!?

My friend runs a pre-pitch campsite inside the festival, with tents saved from other festivals - it's like £50, so it's deffo not glamping, but the price tends to bring in a slightly older crowd and lots of solo travellers - might be a way to make new friends and not be surrounded by kids!

I think his site is camplight.co.uk - say hi from me if you go ahead with it! :)
