It doesn't even mention anything about getting escorted into the stadium, after collecting tickets anymore, it just states to pick them up from Box Office B with ID and payment card. I take it they've totally abandoned that idea then? I'm staying in Livingston, so I'm trying to work out whether it would be better for me to get the train from Uphall-Slateford, or Uphall-Edinburgh, then a taxi to Murrayfield to collect my tickets. Unsure on the traffic etc. Can anyone help? Richard Ashcroft expected on at 6.45pm? If your staying in Livingston, have a google to see if your crashing nearer Livy south or Livy north train station. I've just checked and Uphall is closer than both of them stations, and it's only a short journey to Haymarket. Cheers though.

At Southampton there was no sign of this what so ever BUT both attendees had to have their hands stamped at the time when drawing the tickets - from memory we showed these on the way in but I'm not sure if they were checking (i.e. not sure if they would have asked us to show them if we weren't already). I assume that this is what they are doing to try and prevent resales of lucky dip tickets.

Alan_C
I voted for She's A Rainbow. Always loved that song. I'm actually really looking foward to Richard Ashcroft. I've never bothered to see him live, because I'm not keen on most of his solo stuff, and I missed The Verve live (huge regret). An unexpected chance to hear a handful of songs I absolutely love. I'm asking for too much, wishing he'd stick This Is Music and History in there!
stu150
I saw Murrayfield tweet that lucky dip tickets can be collected from 10:30am-4pm from gate A then from the AXS tickets from 4pm-9pm. Anyone who has bought lucky dip and picked up earlier before - how did this work with hand stamping etc? I have two GA standing tickets and two lucky dip tickets. My parents are coming down with me and my mate - my plan was to see what the lucky dip tickets were and if they were any sort of standing to keep them and if they were seating to give them to my folks... I know it’s techincally against the Ts&Cs but figured we might be able to prove it’s genuinely family if we all have ID with the same surname, etc.
CaledonianGonzo
Hapoened to wander by the Balmoral just there. State of the gammons lingering outside in the hope of a glimpse of Chuck Leavell.

They don’t care what you do with them after that
Alan_C
Pit B. Buzzing! Sitting outside a beer garden at Haymarket. Anyone got any recommendations for a bar near Haymarket train station for afterwards, with some music?

Hugh Jass
Not sure what to do with my Twickers Lucky Dip. Can't go as I've got work in the morning but don't really wanna write off 70 notes. Tempted to pop over there on the day pick them up then try and offload them to a tout or something.

CaledonianGonzo
Yeah...nice sort of countrified version of it with Ronnie on the pedal steel. Pretty pleased overall with the deep cut tracks we got.
jackarmy
Really looking forward to Friday now. Couple of tins on the train up from Swansea, Friday afternoon on the beer round St. Mary's Street, and then the greatest rock n' roll band of all time in the evening. Should be mega. When do they usually post the choices for the "by request" songs?
DownboundTrain52
Belatedly falling back into the forum after a few months off, so haven't registered my thoughts yet: Gig was better than I honestly expected, given that most four-star reviews of the group I see tend to also spend a significant amount of time nitpicking Keith Richards' technical ability. Was a touch scruffy but pretty much hit all the notes in the riffs you wanted at Old Trafford. Upper sides of the stands were surprisingly empty; large chunks with folk below and above them left empty. Moved from a packed row a block across to padded seating on my ownsome with ease. If it is going to be the last go-round at this level, then there is something to be said for how good it is at their age. None of the Dylanisms that can plague the older hands - even their cover of Like a Rolling Stone was better than the time I saw Dylan stumble his way through under an enormous hat in 2011.
