Where have you seen that? Be ideal for me that. Pick up my lucky dip tickets early and head into town to meet friends knowing if I'll be stood with them or not for the gig (they have general admission). And it would be easier to get rid of this other lucky dip ticket having the ticket in hand early

AXS seem extremely bad with the communication about these tickets though. For the London date I received an email stating;

  • You must pick up your tickets in person, from Box Office B along with your guest. Box Office B is open from 1PM - 6:30PM, please see the map below for location

Thing is I received that on the day at 6:59pm when I was already in there! Dreadful stuff. Some early information would be helpful from them

Praying for sister morphine or wild horses to appear at Cardiff. If they're in a vote then going to have to get Russia on the case.

Sister Morphine is what I wanted or maybe Soul Survivor or Shine a light.

They were outstanding really. Brown Sugar was the highlight for me. Tumbling Dice & Miss you were top too.

In fact, there were a lot of highlights

Looking forward to seeing Ashcroft even more now, can't see his set list changing too much before Saturday and had five The Verve tracks out of eight (Sonnet, Space and Time, Lucky Man, Drugs Dont Work, Bittersweet Symphony along with Hold On, This is How it Feels and Music is Power).

Any Edinburgh locals in here? Wondering what to do before, if it's worth staying in puns in the centre and getting a taxi or if it's better to get down near Murrayfield early.

We are picking up our tickets about 2pm then heading back to Haymarket for the pubs there till 6.  Then tram/walk back down.

Few questions for anyone who can help:

I've just got an e-mail about my Lucky Dip tickets for Edinburgh. It doesn't even mention anything about getting escorted into the stadium, after collecting tickets anymore, it just states to pick them up from Box Office B with ID and payment card. I take it they've totally abandoned that idea then?

I'm staying in Livingston, so I'm trying to work out whether it would be better for me to get the train from Uphall-Slateford, or Uphall-Edinburgh, then a taxi to Murrayfield to collect my tickets. Unsure on the traffic etc. Can anyone help?

Richard Ashcroft expected on at 6.45pm?

If you're getting a train to Edinburgh then I think Haymarket is the closest station to Murrayfield, probably a 15 minute walk. There's also a tram stop at Murrayfield, you can get a tram from outside Haymarket to there and it should only take a few minutes.

Can get tickets from 10:30 so there's no way you'll get escorted in at that time. Was all a ruse to put off touts.

Yes, get off at Haymarket (as the saying goes). Buy a day saver £4. Jump on the tram, get tickets, jump back on the tram to the Haymarket bar. Have a well earned drink admiring your £400 pit tickets that you got for £30. Before heading back a few hours later.

Wouldnt advertise the fact if you do get great tickets as there may be a few hacked off people around you.

Cheers for the input. I need to get to Uphall for my hotel first, and the earliest I can get there is 13:40, so I'm now thinking a train from Uphall-Haymarket, then a tram to collect my tickets, then back to Haymarket. Last train from Haymarket to Uphall is midnight, so can probably get a few pints in afterwards.
