I loved that year, the Friday was so good alone the rest of the weekend just felt like a bonus and one big party but felt really bad for the Slipknot camp next to us in Yellow, Buzzing on the Wednesday only to hear very quickly they cancelled their performances.

I remember a few Slipknot fans taking their anger out on poor ol' BMTH who opened up the mainstage as a last minute thing on that Sunday. Was raining cats and dogs that morning as well!

My only regret from that weekend was on the Saturday where I missed out on Justice in the NME tent, my mates dragged me to see Editors on the mainstage instead...*holds head in hands*

You're spot on about the Friday night though, everything else that followed did feel like a bonus! I remember The Subways KILLING it during the early stages of the Saturday on the mainstage. Foals in the NME tent pretty much doing the whole of 'Antidotes' was all kinds of greatness looking back on it also, and then The Raconteurs/Bloc Party/The Killers following that...what a time to be alive. Such a good year...

So it appears the entire indie and rock fraternity can now be divided into 'cex workers' and 'dark fruits twitter' 😄

Since when was "CEX workers" a description?

Especially given I'm pretty sure I've heard poppier stuff when in there in the past.

Sorry to sound ignorant but why would R&L have Stormzy just before his UK tour, surely that would just take sales away from his own tour?

Most of his tour has sold out (apart from a few dates up north) The RATM announcement and Stormzy would make sense as to why they've waited to announce this.

CEX workers is brilliant. Imagine how many copies of Courteeners St Jude I could buy if did work there, though.

So true. Went to get a job there when I was 16 and the first thing the manager did on my ‘trial day’ was plug his phone in and play Guerilla Radio.
