Maybe that could be a double announcement - a Brixton warm-up plus R&L. Even if it turns out to be somebody other than MCR.

I know the discussion has moved on but surely Chemical Brothers could work better if R&L did something like other festivals in Europe or the US where the main stage has post-headliner DJ's. But I'm guessing as an outright headliner there moment's been and gone for this environment.

I’d love to see them with a strong co-headliner with Chems ending the night. Would give a feel of a “proper headliner” for those that who don’t think chems are big enough, and you’d be ending the day with one of the best live shows around in the dark.

Now let’s not talk about it too much before I get my hopes up about this ever happening 🤣

Hmm. I’m certain a couple of people posted here a while back initially saying that they’d heard MCR we’re doing a show at Brixton.

Maybe MK isn’t happening and they’re headlining R&L and doing Brixton as a warm up :ninja:

Or maybe they’re just playing MK like is being widely touted.

I think both might be realistic. Bands have done Brixton as a warm up for bigger shows before. The Killers and Linkin Park come to mind.

One missing act from the Teenage Cancer Trust announcement - interested who it might be as I can't think of anyone witholding dates currently, Strokes maybe (from NOS?) but highly doubt they would do Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Streets are headlining SW4 on the Sunday. I don't think there's been much crossover at all between these fests so they're likely out - I know some people had them closing Radio 1 Stage in their predictions.

I thought this could make them likely for Friday r1 headliner
