Really really enjoying the Matt Maltese album - great stuff.

Matt Maltese. There, right there, is one smug mufa fooka. I do like though.

* You're the highest quality hardwood door.*

* looks just like Justin Timberlake *

excited to hear the new Spiritualized track. Their set in the auditorium (with a full orchestra and choir) at Primavera was absolutely incredible.

new track I'm Your Man starts here at 2:48:10. New album is called And Nothing Hurts, here's the album cover.

I'm Yer Man (ft. Jake Bugg) is excellenté. A Perfect Miracle is kinda just a Disney Ladies and Gentlemen... but eh. Jay Spacepal says it is probably the last Spiritualized album so plenty riding on it. Got a London date in September too but should get a full tour on this one, right?

Prequelle was a bit too glossy for me. Just sounded like straight up Bon Jovi in parts. Still hope they continue to make a success of it.

@kingcrawler Any thoughts on the new Holy Esque?

Determined to really like it but it seems like a slightly darker variation on their last album but without the big tunes that At Hope's Ravine had in spades so probably won't be returning to it as much.

I feel pretty much the same way really. It's certainly not a bad album but as you say it lacks any big hooks that the debut and even the earlier EPs had. I'll keep at it though as their debut was one of my favourites of 2016 so hopefully this one will grow on me. They're playing an all-dayer thing in Glasgow in August so I might head along to that and see if the new songs come across better live.

I missed this from last month so apologies if it's already been posted but I didn't even know they had an album coming out, new White Denim. Got an absolute groove to it, although not as fun as the first few singles from the last album. I missed seeing them last time they were at the farm but their set is one I used to go back to on youtube a fair bit (it's gone now) annoyingly.

EDIT:

As if they heard me, a new song has popped up on spotify today:
