Stupid question but did those tours include the other places they're doing this tour?

2020: HULL x2, EDINBURGH , BLACKPOOL, BIRMINGHAM,  PLYMOUTH, BOURNEMOUTH,  BRIGHTON, CARDIFF + later in the year 2x knebworth house london.

and before that tour (on the same album) they did elland road and some other outdoors dates.

Kaiser Chiefs one of those bands who have remained insanely popular among people who get all their music off of Saturday morning football shows

Its kinda crazy. You take the name off of that tour and you show that to anyone in this forum and most people would say who ever it was would be a smaller Pyramid headliner/strong other headliner, but then we'd all laugh when it was Kaisers.

To be fair just shows yet again how we're not as in touch as we like to think we are.

While thats true, it also shows that just because a band is doing a large tour of the UK, doesn't mean they'll always be a headliner/high up position. Kaisers 3rd from top on Pyramid, after the legends slot would be a great party(not suggestion this year) but anywhere closer to the top and people would laugh.

Kaisers’ last Glasto slot was 5th down the Other Stage in 2017, btw. The year that dentalplan kept trying to convince us they were gonna sub.

Edit: Two slots below Wiley and the same slot as Glass Animals and Kodaline on the other days.

My flatmate works at an arena and they are a lot more flexible now in terms of bookings post-covid, and are likely to get stuff in that may be a bit ambitious on paper. Venues are much more amenable to part-selling arenas (or building sections out if ticket sales are good), and promoters are fine with doing discount tickets or throwing out freebies nearer the time because ultimately it gets people through the door buying booze and food and merch. They did this with a couple of pop acts recently whose pre-sales were sluggish (Steps, The Wanted) and it worked really well.

I can't imagine Kaisers will sell out many of these arenas but everyone will make money out of it and it's a great look for them.
