Is he big enough for stadiums? I know The Weeknd is a massive act but I thought more festival headline than a Wembley kinda act.

This is when he sells it out and I look like an idiot ha.

Does seem a little ambitious for him, here in the U.K. at least. He’s big but he’s not quite a bonafide megastar just yet. Given that he’a giving out refunds I can see him scrapping the multiple dates and just doing one stadium date instead.

You mean cause he didnt just perform at the Super Bowl halftime show to a tv audience of 100 million? And had one of the biggest songs last year? Yeah ok.

There is an easy way to ensure the dates sell out and that is with very strong support acts. So a bill with The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey and Doja Cat couldn’t sell out Wembley?

Doing the superbowl show doesn't mean you can sell out UK stadiums.

Based on how may London o2 shows he had he probs could sell Wembley stadiu, tbf. Dunno about elsewhere. His one Glasgow date still had tix yday.

Do you always need to come at people with some snarky comment when they downplay an act you like? 😄

And you can’t go from one minute claiming this guy is a giant megastar who can sell out stadiums to the next claiming he needs two huge support acts to do so.

Giving all that money back and then charging again? Big move by the Weekend there. The Guardian did a Top Earners in music list a few years back, and he was number 1 ahead of people like Beyonce and Drake.

I bet part of it is just wanting to finally end this era and be on something new by October 2022.
