Quark
Ticket for Rolling Blackouts in Brighton done. I've certainly not sold myself short on gigs to fill the gap this year!

Excellent on the Avalon in '16 and blew away my Brexit-blues.

evilduck
Just heard that the strokes was a hoax posted by an ex-dingwalls employee who was fired last week. Hope no-one went down too early for tickets!
WFD
Chvrches UK tour dates coming, including (it seems) the Hydro again.

DownboundTrain52
The phrase UK Tour indicates something more extensive than the Hydro and Ally Pally, which is what I would have assumed. Love is Dead didn't do as great as expected, I'd say - that would-be push up festival bills everyone was tipping to come with this record might not quite materialise. I'd say it's pretty certain not to materialise now. Reckon they'll be either 3rd down Pyramid or JP headliners if they play Glasto next year, which I'd say is either at the same level or just below what they did in 2016 (Other sub). Shame really, their sound definitely suits an open stage for my money. Really fitted the mood nicely with the time slot they had in '16 as well. Having said that, I do think they'd still get a great atmosphere in JPT.
finn_with_1_n
Given there aren't many venues in London around the 10,000 capacity that Ally Pally has, the only logical plan I could see Chvrches going for is either playing Wembley Arena or 2/3 nights at Brixton. the former seems too big for them in my opinion but I doubt they'd want to play Ally Pally again

JP headline could happen, but I reckon they'll be pushing for a spot on the big stage. Let's Eat Grandma supporting on the European tour - really hoping they bring them along for the UK dates. priest17
Never mind 'are they showing the football at glastonbury', Leeds academy are looking to full on cancel the Oh Sees gig I'm supposed to be gong to on Wednesday to show it. There's like a billion other places to watch the football and the times wouldn't even clash, I was looking forward to the double header to be honest. Can they not just push the stage times back a little? Maybe can the support act?

It'd be full of people that aren't actually going to the gig though and the logistics of getting a thousand drunk England fans out and getting the Oh Sees fans that weren't at the football in would be a bit of a headache. They haven't announced they're definitely cancelling it they're just looking at ways of recreating what they did on Sunday which I imagine made them a lotta dolla, sounds to me like they're talking to the band to work out how to arrange it. They haven't even announced a support act yet so there might not even be one at this point ahah
Quark
This is what winds me up about stuff like this. The world has to change its fucking axis because people can't possibly choose between watching one thing or another. Boils my piss...
