As far as i remember it was great, although my main memory was the hour or two we had to wait afterwards as our car had been triple parked. Lucky man. To remind you this is the final number - with Ferry complete with fag in hand and great whistling.

eFestivals
6music just played some Caravan, so here's some more... and because I love the Canterbury thing, here's what happens when you mash up Caravan with Soft Machine - a play on the French for Soft Machine comes out as ....Matching Mole.... (for the full effect do the full album!)
eFestivals
and now I've got to include some solo Wyatt ... this is a beautiful version of Gabriel's song...
eFestivals
you either love Robert Wyatt or you don't.... (that's either a shambling old man who can't sing, or it's spine-chillingly good ..... you either get Wyatt or you don't, I guess) Edited September 20, 2017 by eFestivals

eFestivals
another stunning cover ... and this live version is even better than the studio version ... and a stunning not-a-cover, and timeless ... see how many songs you know which have sampled this... I'm curious if your post before editting was "Seriously WTF?" lol I get wierded out how some bands just skip past or are just background and you never really investigate them, years later you listen and find out that not only do you really like them but you seem to know a lot of the words despite not recognising the name at all

Now I know I didn't need to wrry. I think pretty much all my favourite bands nowadays I knew about years before I properly investigated them and got fully into their stuff. And I certainly get what you're saying with Mazzy Star also; I'm too young to have known about them in the 90's but first time I listened to So Tonight That I Might See, I'd certainly heard Fade Into You and Into Dust from TV and/or film in some way so that mebbe it. ConorC
Random question, seems vaguely 'old music' related: Does anyone know how I'd go about contacting Paul Simon or his management? I've looked at social media channels and his website and I can't seem to find any way of messaging/contacting them. Long story short, I'm looking to get the lyric "I'd rather be a hammer than a nail" from El Condor Pasa tattooed in memory of my dad who passed a few years back. I'd originally wanted it in my dad's own handwriting but weirdly I don't seem to have anything with it, so does anyone reckon or know how I'd be able to get the man himself to write the lyric? eFestivals
no ideas, sorry. The only thing I can suggest is googling and following any trails - you can usually find out who it is if you keep at it long enough (and you can waste days at this sort of thing), as for acts of his level there's sometimes mentions of 'his people' within articles (tour announcements, interviews, etc).
