Can we close this thread before if descends into e-pistols at dawn. Let's just all agree that there was mud and hope that KC give some thought to improvements around this next year.

It highlights several issues KC  need to address, the primary one being to stop being tightwads with the plastic track, which costs £6 each, and was negligently missing from many areas. They needed an honest steward taking contro,l creating a list who people could have gone to for their names to be added if a recovery vehicle was needed. But the latter wouldn't have been necessary if the track had been sited correctly. It couldn't be simpler or cheaper so you have to wonder why it wasn't done...

Well there we have it, the bribe wasn't to get them out of the field, which would have happened anyway, this pair decided to pay to jump the queue because ' some of us have lives we needed to get back to' ' exactly'.

What a world we live in that individuals feel it is appropriate to behave in this selfish, self centred way. You probably give nothing to festivals and other areas of living in communities unless it directly benefits you. Interestingly you felt it appropriate also to mention it on here as if it was somehow a good thing to do.

mememememememe.

some people don't need to get back asap.. some do...

its not a difficult concept.

go an buy some more tampons - you appear to be having a heavy period.

 Had you shown such insightful thought when exiting the field you might have used some of your feminine products under the wheels thus negating the need to bribe a tractor driver so you could push in front of those who didn't need to get back asap.

  • 2 weeks later...

This was our fourth year at KC, we normally camp but this year decided to hire a motorhome which slept 6 of us. None of us were overly keen to drive the thing and with the mud it could have been a disaster BUT, it turned out far from it. We actually got stuck about 10 meters in to the field on arrival on Thursday, we knew then that getting out on Monday morning could be quite a challenge, we decided to worry about it on Monday morning. We had a great festival, unlike some I can't complain about the 10 minute walk to the arena (we were right at the back of the field), what's 10 minutes?? People saying they missed acts because of the walk, really ?? Sure enough, come Monday morning the van wouldn't budge. A lady with a clipboard came and took our registration number and added us to the list. About an hour later we were towed out very efficiently by a tractor, we got the van back to the hire company at 11:58, 2 mins before the deadline. So yes it was muddy, yes we were towed out but yes, It all seemed to be organised very well by the ground staff. We each have different stories I suppose. No complaints from us though.
