First time coming from USA - questions?

Thanks in advance. Traveling over from US for festival and have a few basic questions.  We're just going for Saturday on a day pass, no camping.

1.  What can we bring into the festival? For instance, is a camel pack OK? What about folding chairs or a blanket? Any alcohol allowed to be brought in? Water bottles?

2.  Are cabs easily accessible after the event?

3.  Can you come and go in and out of the festival after you have entered?

4.  What time do the final mainstage acts usually go on?

5.  I know this is a very general question, but any recommendations on things that we should definitely bring with us to the festival (other than the absolutely obvious)?

Thanks for the help!! So stoked about this fest!

You can take alcohol onto the campsite, but not into the arena.
They might (I'm not sure) allow you to take in an unopened water bottle. If it's been opened, they probably won't let you take in water.

There's normally some cabs around on the road outside at the end of the night.

If you have a weekend wristband you can enter and leave the arena and then re-enter. If you have a day ticket, you can't.

Main stage acts go on till 11pm or 11.30pm, I think (it's a while since i've been).

What you need to bring varies a lot depending whether you're camping or staying off-site, and you don't say which you're doing - but if you're staying off-site, you only really need to bring yourself and any extra clothing you might need during the day, and money.

-Here is a list of things you can not bring: http://www.readingfestival.com/information/essentials

-A Blanket should be okay, not sure about a folding chair

-Alcohol is only allowed on the campsite. You are allowed to bring a 500ml bottle water, heard it was 1l last year as it was pretty hot.

2.  Are cabs easily accessible after the event?

-From the Reading Festival Website:

Taxis will be available from Reading train station. The main festival taxi pick up/drop off point will be on Tessa Road, near Red Gate and will cost approx. £5-6. Busy traffic/slow journeys will increase the price.

Taxis are not allowed access to drop off at the White Campsite (Mapledurham). If you want to get to the White Campsite without parking there you should access the site at Red or Green Gate and walk through the campsites to the bridge.

Queues for taxis leaving site are often quite long, particularly on Sunday night/Monday morning, so consider pre-booking a private hire to collect you from the designated pick up area at the far end of Tessa Road.

3.  Can you come and go in and out of the festival after you have entered?

-You can not go in and out with a day Ticket once you entered, that's only possible with a Weekend pass

4.  What time do the final mainstage acts usually go on?

-Usually the last headliner on Saturday comes on around 9:30pm - 10pm and should go until 11:30pm or shortly before midnight. There is not timetable for this year yet but it's also expected with Eminem.

-Cash as Food and Drinks only can be bought with cash, toilet paper as you adviced to bring your own, ID Card/Passport (to pick up your tickets and if you want to buy alcohol), if it might be raining some type of rain clothes, sunscreen and a hat if it's hot,
