The Cocteau Twins

All of them probably even more unlikely than The Smiths. Have MBV split again?

Talk Talk on my list of top ten bands.. I've always liked they way they did there stuff and just stopped,  disappeared, walked away.... I don't think we'll ever get the privilege of seeing them live... Shame

I saw them (well, most of their set) play what I think is their last ever gig at the Phoenix Festival in 96. They were headlining the second stage. Managed to get back to the main stage in time to see headliner David Bowie. They nearly reformed a few years back, but alas, it wasn't to be.

I actually caught a wee nit of their (only previous?) slot at the G

Don't know how best to summarise it, unfortunately.

I walked past the Other when they were on and I can say without hesitation or hyperbole that they were the worst thing I've ever seen on that stage. And I've seen the Kaisers on there. Thrice.

They can only have been around for one Glastonbury I think.

That was a pretty remarkable rise and fall - I think even the music press were like "we can't even prop these shiters up". A shame now that they didn't feel the same way about Van McCann's Porridge Pistoleros.
