with all this talk of holiday booking I thought I had best double check with my boss that my holiday for my job is ok ... unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything suitable during 6 months of redundancy so I'm going back to my old job so I guess my holiday counts as prearranged but its always worth double checking ... my boss will be on the farm and ill probably meet him for a cider or two so it was doubtful he'd refuse it as I was trying for camper van tickets for him ... but anyway yes its fine :) .....I brought an inflatable campbed for christmas and have now realised my mat is too short ... so im on the hunt for a longer one

Booked time off, always the tricky equation about how many days off are required afterwards, especially if you want to ensure you can squeeze in as many other hols as possible over the year.

Yes. I’ve thought long and hard about it: I reckon Thursday is the best day to return to work. Monday I’m driving back, Tuesday I’ll be washing stuff, sleeping and mainlining tea, and by Wednesday I can be more up for exercise/socialising/watching highlights on tv etc. Then thurs and fri back at work, with the weekend as suitable rest ballast.

Those people who return on Tuesday - or even Monday! - are impressively hardcore. I shudder at the thought of it

I've tried most variants over the years. These days, assuming the journey on Monday is OK, my stuff goes straight in the washer when I get back. Tuesday as you say resting and tea. I've had Wednesday before, but with *ahem* less toxins in my body these days it's not such an issue 🙂

I differ from most of the regs here, as I hardly ever look at highlights. I've recorded or downloaded them plenty in the past, but tbh they tend to just make me sad - either the stuff I've seen makes me sad I'm not there now or the stuff I missed makes me sad I didn't get to see it. Bit silly I know 😄

Added Janelle to my Glasto playlist, gonna binge her before she inevitably clashes with The Cure and I have to remove her from the playlist.

How did you suddenly just find out you got tickets? Sounds like a good story!

a long long shot paid off mate

spent several years cultivating someone with contacts and that's proved successful

as quoted in the Julian Temple film 'get thee to Glastonbury', and in this case by any means necessary

Booked a flight to Buenos Aires as I've decided to backpack South America until Glasto.

Does this count as prep?
