Ok.

THE LISTTM is done. As of 2 minutes ago.

Whilst it doesn't have any lovely graphics like @hannaranksit's currently divided into the following sections:

  • To pack

  • To do

  • To buy

  • Packing List / Stuff For Lissie for Sunday

  • Lissie’s Sunday Timetable (subject to change / the whims of a 3 year old)

  • Drinks / Food Budget

LHCotU has informed me she has given our sleeping bags away to a homeless charity, so I need to buy a new one of them.

I've now bought all my booze, stuck a couple of infusions on the go, got all the new camping equipment I need, worked out all my outfits, and badgered my friends into checking their coach times on SeeTickets.

Got a PhD meeting in a bit, and after that it will be back to working on it full pelt until I move, with very little time to plan - hence why everything been done so early!

I've been pondering a strange time / Glastonbury conundrum.

This year will be my fifth Glastonbury. I went four years in a row, '13, '14, '15 & '16. I missed '17 due to a mate's stag do (absolutely hideous timing, which I reminded him on several occasions in the run up, before a final full de-brief post stag do). And I have a golden ticket for this year.

When I next step foot on the farm, it would have been three years since I last did that. And despite only missing one Glastonbury, that's the same amount of time between my first time in '13 and my last time in '16.

That's four Glastonbury's in the first three years, and then one Glastonbury in the next three years (pretty much three years, I know there will be a few days overlap but for these purposes that relative small number of days is negligible).

This is you lot and this place. I hold you all responsible. You've officially sent me crackers.

I've spent the last 10 minutes or so pondering that. Although I do have to admit, what a wonderful 10 minutes it was.

As you were.

This place does have a knack of keeping me hyped. Every time I have a nap these days I go off into this semi conscious imagining of being in my tent and hearing all the noises. It's quite pleasant.

Today I've ordered loads of stuff such as sack truck and self inflating mattress since this is the first year driving to the festival so I can take more shite. All I need sorting now is booze and a few items of clothing.

Omg I just ordered waterproof sneakers!!!

They're this Canadian brand called Vessi and a couple people I work with have them and said they are 100% waterproof and awesome and comfy.

I was planning to order a pair of black sneakers anyways to tramp around in without worrying about dirt and this is just awesome.

I'll still take my wellies as I'm not one to provoke the weather gods.

I was half way through stitching this small belt pouch for credit cards money etc that I'm making to take to the festival and my new leather stamp arrived so I had to abandon the stitching and quickly try it out.  Triangle represents the pyramid stage and a silhouette of Glastonbury tor in the middle. So I guess this weekend is making wallets and pouches for our group.

Had a hair cut. I’ll have another one just before I head off, so I liken this to the fields at the farm getting a silage cut now and another little trim before the festival itself.

ive got a special Glasto haircut booked ... for those moments my hair is not covered by a hat :) ... 3 hours on the tue before

Just had a look online. Not bad (if as waterproof as they claim). Very unisex selection too!

I’m gonna take my lucky blue 1970s Adidas I bought yonks ago, protected like they were the only pair made by fucking Picasso or something, then thought ‘fuck it’ and wore them to Glastonbury.

They’re kinda canvassey and seemingly indestructible!

What type are they @Woffy? Have a collection of classic originals and trying to choose a sturdy pair that I don’t mind wrecking but will last.

Can’t remember the name (I’ve still got the box somewhere! So I’ll have a look tomorrow), but I’ve just taken some photos for you:

(I realise this is sad to some people, but I love them).

Soooooo..... fruit frozen over night and mixed with the ginooooo today.

Do I just leave it? Shake it up? Do we need more berries?

You’re going to regret giving this recipe out now ?

This blueberry/raspberry recipe - does it work well with vodka? I already have two gins, so thought it might be good to get some variety. Although, after a lot of bad experiences with vodka when I was younger, I am a little bit hesitant to reengage with it...

Me too! Thanks for the reminder

Thanks @Woffy mate, very nice. Can’t beat the old sporty ones. Love me some Adi-porn. Can’t quite put my finger on what they are, some Forest Green looking types. Had to throw away some Samoas last year which were my festy trainers for a long time so choosing their successor is a (sad, I know) headache for me. Mustard Dragons or blue Munchens are the contenders now.

*skips off - skilfully - to google in Adidas flip flops* (No! They’re NOT called fucking ‘sliders’!)
