What are your favourite ever Glasto sets?

I'm gonna do a top 20, but if you haven't been too many times then of course you might not do quite as many. Good way to fill the post-Glasto void!

Wiki has a decent reminder of lineups: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glastonbury_Festival_line-ups - some years are pretty incomplete outside big stages though..

I went to 04, 05, 07, 09, 11, 13, 15, 16 and 17

My top 20 are:

1. Radiohead Pyramid Stage 2017

2. Rolling Stones Pyramid Stage 2013

3. Pulp Park Stage 2011

4. LCD Soundsystem Other Stage 2016

5. Blur Pyramid Stage 2009

6. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Pyramid Stage 2009

7. Muse Pyramid Stage 2004

8. Arcade Fire Other Stage 2007

9. Paul McCartney Pyramid Stage 2004

10. Sigur Ros John Peel 2016

11. Chic Pyramid Stage 2017

12. Primal Scream Pyramid Stage 2005

13. British Sea Power Other Stage 2004

14. The Killers New Bands Tent (John Peel) 2004

15. The Chemical Brothers Other Stage 2007

16. Justice West Holts 2017

17. Queens of the Stone Age Other Stage 2011

18. Sergio Mendes West Holts 2013

19. Doves John Peel 2009

20. The XX Other Stage 2011

Despite not spending that long on the Pyramid, a lot of my highlights have been there. I guess a great Pyramid gig is that bit more special. Also a couple of acts in Muse and The Killers who I didn't even think of seeing when they were last at the farm had great gigs earlier on in their careers.

Over to you...

There are a few that stand out to me for different reasons

1 - Imagine Dragons - It was my first year and a band me and my friend went to, to realising how many songs we knew. It was a good atmosphere and epistomised Glastonbury weather as we had rain and sun throughout the set

2 - Kasabian - I just remember seeing all the flares throughout "Fire" and completely understood the difference between seeing a Glastonbury headliner and one at another festival

3 - Dolly Parton - Whilst she was a bit before my time, everyone knows most of her songs. Never seen a crowd like it.

4 - MGMT - A band I had listened to a lot growing up so it was awesome to see them at Glastonbury. Probably the first band I knew a lot about before actually seeing them.

5 - Rudimental - Their Other Stage headline set was a lot of fun, helped by the fact we had been there for their set that got shut down the year before.

6 - Kanye West - This was helped that one of my friends was SUPER EXCITED to see him. Love him or hate him I think most people thought his set would be interested. Really, really enjoyed iy.

7 - Adele - When the festival got her she was the biggest star on the planet, I don't think that can really be argued. I was hesitant just because I like my headliners to be lively and have a bit of a dance along but she absolutely smashed it and was only topped by one other act since I've been going

8 - Coldplay - I know this isn't going to be a popular one but I thought they were incredible. The visual aspect of the show was like nothing I've seen before and myself and my friends had an amazing 2 hours singing and dancing along.

9 - George Ezra (Ended up seeing him twice as he was a TBA on BBC Introducing, too) - Myself and my friend managed to get really close, in front of the crush barrier (there was SO much space in front of it, is that normal? it was really busy behind it!) so had an amazing view, the closest I've been for any act on the main stages I would say. Loved his old album and his new song "Don't Matter Now" was brilliant.

10 - The Killers - Forgot how many of their songs I knew until their set. Definitely going to have to go to one of their gigs when they're back. The crowd and atmosphere was amazing!

Without giving too much thought to it at all.....

1  BOWIE (pyramid 2000).

Then others that spring to mind... (can't beat a pyramid singalong clearly)

2 Blur (pyramid 2009)

3&4 REM and Radiohead consecutively (pyramid 2003) - can't separate these two, best weekend EVER!

5 Flaming Lips (pyramid 2003) - first time I saw them, bloody great, before Radiohead I think(?!)

6 Macca (pyramid 2004)

7 Brian Wilson (pyramid 2005) - bliss in the sun on the hill.

8 The Stones (pyramid 2013) - but stodgy in the middle

9 Flaming Lips (2010 Other)

10  Killers (2004 JP) - a band perfectly on the cusp of becoming big.

11 Killers (2005 pyramid)

12 The Magic Numbers (2005 JP) - my mates, smashed it.

13 Chic (West holts 2013)

14 The Music (2002 JP, no idea why I enjoyed this so much, 02 was a lame year)

15 Pet Shop Boys (pyramid 2000) - singalong fun

16 Coldplay (2005 pyramid)

17 Stevie Wonder (2010 Pyramid)

18 The Beautiful South (2005 Acoustic) sorry to anyone stood near us.

19 The Wailers (pyramid 2000, 1st band I saw at Glastonbury, bliss in the sun on the hill!)

20 Coldplay (pyramid 2016)

If I gave it more thought it would probably be a lot different!
