Yep, need all of the above! Tried waterproofing my tent again before last year's fest and it still leaked even in the piddly amount of r**n we had then. Wellies just about survived Download in 2016 before expiring, and my faithful rucksack suffered a strap failure while I was training for the bloody paras run this year.

But, you know, tent porn!!

Oh yes! Already been looking online today. I find best to go into the shops once winter hits and you'll get the best deals. Our tent packed it in overnight on the Friday (?) I think. Being that close to the hill, obviously whatever did fall just came right down and seeming through our tent. The missus' clothes got destroyed, mine didn't - that was eventful!

Getting a new one with the highest HH possible, and one that we can actually stand up in!

We really love getting off on camping equipment don't we?

I remember when we let our dog go when I was about 22, weirdest thing was coming in smashed from the pub and her not trying to get me to move my carcass out of the hallway and up to bed. Smart dog.

Full disclosure: I didn't make it up the stairs

In a fucking caravan. Not camping with the riff raff. Now get me a gin and tonic.

Herself has expressed a desire to go back to the farm for the 50th anniversary and she wants to stay in a caravan. Dunno but it seems like cheating to me. I’ll be in a tent out front!?

Strange isn’t it. It’s nice having the stove and whatnot but I never sleep well in a caravan. And  I’d rather use a long drop than a caravan toilet!

I have no problem using the long drops during the day but fuck waking up at 4-5am and having to trudge in me wellies for 20 mins for a piss then trying to get back to sleep. Can't get back to sleep and would rather not be exhausted at Glasto. So that's why for me anyway. Also the Mondays are a killer packing everything up and carrying it. I really just don't have the energy to power through that shit anymore. Have to look after myself since being diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia. So a good sleep and being able to enjoy the festival to the max after a good rest is vital. I don't think I could get through camping again. Especially judging by how little I was able to do last time purely because I didn't have the energy. Did a 6 mile walk the other day and it proper whapped me for a couple of days afterwards.

Bugger, when did you find that out dude?  I guess we can allow your camping requirements on medical exemption grounds...

Ahh Guy, not gonna lie fella, my eyes watered a bit reading that. I remember that  forgetting then remembering thing, it’s a kick in the gut every time. It does become less frequent as you get used to the chap not being around you. Much love to you dude x

About 2 months ago, been dealing with chronic pain and fatigue for years but its been getting progressively worse to the point I was bedridden for days at a time. Phil made me go to the doctor again and luckily I got an amazing doctor who finally gave me a diagnosis. So getting B12 shots every three months now and forever. Feeling a lot better but when I push it I pay for it the next day. Much prefer the camraderie of the camp site. You saw how wrecked I was last year. If I get the golden ticket I really don't want to waste it :D

Yeah, I think you were putting it down to the heat but obviously a lot more to it than that! At least you've got it identified and managed, if not fixed.  We'll keep a spot around the campfire for you :)

EDIT: and some rum, obviously.

Well just being there is the thing wherever you’re bedding down and I’m sure there’s some great camaraderie in the campervan fields too.?

Maybe me and your missus can share a caravan and you and Yeti do the camping then best of bold worlds for all. :D
