Showers

Can any kind folk let me know where the showers are on site? The thought of going the whole 5 days without this year is filling me with dread, very sweaty dread!

In the kids fields, expect long queues and the potential of running out of water by 1pm. 

Not worth it IMO. Just bring a jug, fill it up with water and pour it over your head. It does the job.

There are showers at the bottom of the kids field which you will Q a long time for unless you go very early in the morning. You can hire a towel for £2 and they normally have some leftover shower gel too. There are also showers in the greenfields which are on a ticket system. Take your ticket/timeslot, go for breakfast and go back at your allotted time. They will give you eco friendly shower gel but take your own towel. Go to the lost horizons sauna too for a shower.

2010 we filled a 5ltr bottle and had a freezing cold shower in our underwear. If you want it warmer, fill a big black gardening bin bag with water and tie it up and leave it in the sun. Go back later and it'll be warm. Get a mate to hold the sides up and you climb in. Bath in a bag!!

So seemed no one knew about these again this year. Which was nice.

Although a bucket full of water and some soap did the trick most mornings. The freezing cold shower at 5pm Wednesday was nice though!

Showers?

I nearly didn't have one on Monday night, once I have one it means it's over!

Had one on Saturday and don't regret it, worth the 5 pounds, near the bike camper

I was gonna try the showers this year but decided against it in the end. Waited until Tuesday to have one (so was a full week without a shower). It was amazing. Gave myself a proper pamper shower. Washed my legs and everything.

Stayed at Bath and West, so was able to have a shower every morning. Given how convenient the bus transfer is, you could if you were that way inclined and camped over towards Gate A, head out on the bus to B&W, shower and head back in the time it would take you to walk to the showers on site and queue up. I wouldn't, but you could if you wanted to.
