Shame as he could've made a big difference. Hes unsignable now though. 29 next season and guaranteed to miss 75% of the games.

if they're prepared to give Rooney one then I reckon Sturridge stands a decent chance.

But it's a big shame, cos there's no doubt Sturridge at his best (long ago now) is very very good, yet his career seems to have turned to shit for some reason at almost-every opportunity.

Hes broken, sadly. Only managed 15+ league games in 4 seasons in his career.

Jack Wilshere seems to have been (serious) injury free for a while now? Although maybe that's just how it seems as I'm used to him not stringing more than 5 games in a row before breaking again.

I can only see Sturridge getting a contract where he's paid based on appearances. Shame as he has the ability, if he'd been fit this season, he'd have been a much better option to bring on than Solanke.

While thats logical, there always seems to be some club (such as QPR under Arry) that will do the opposite, he will probably get a good deal somewhere!

not entirely sure it's only that. There's been points where he's been fit to play but hasn't performed, and has seemed more interested in berating others than putting in more of a shift himself.

If his ego will allow then I think he could be a great signing for a promoted team. He would have to take a pay cut but that would mean regular football and the chance to show his quality again.

too much of a risk for a promoted team, surely?

They tend to have limited resources, so to put those resources into a sick-note striker is very likely to end badly - cos even with a huge pay-cut he's still likely to be the most expensive wage on a promoted club's books.

An injured player is no more use for a promoted team than it is a top team.

After so long out it takes time to get going again. He tends to break down before that happens. And the cycle starts again. Injured - recovering - nearly back to match fitness - injured. 

Hes fairly useless basically.

This is a copy of the last MRI scan he had on his hamstrings.
