SWMRS had a great up for it crowd in the Radio 1 tent last year, so I was surpised when they were put on a smaller stage this year. Wasn't even keen on them but they blew me away. Moving them to the main stage is the right decision.

The Sherlocks isn’t a secret set if they’ve just announced it  nor is scarlxrd. They’re just filling in gaps.

I’ve just seen The Sherlocks’ tweet. Yeah, they’re actually a secret set aren’t they. Wow. 

They are maybe just filling the FR slot newly vacated by SWMRS?  The way it says "exciting news on the way" looks like there is a proper announcement to follow.

Can imagine they'd be the sort of band (R&L regulars) who would step in at the last minute rather than be lined up as the secret set long ago.  The Xcerts probably keep the van engine running at this time every year in case they get the call.

(edit - just seen the other thread, that they are playing Victorious on Sunday which rules them out of the SMWRS slot - they are actually going to be a secret set aren't they)

Posted this in the leedsfest reddit but worth a go here. Been to reading a few times but not leeds. Ive got a friend who is driving from up north to the fest, ill be getting the train in and then hopefully shuttle in. I have both his ticket and early pass, how hard would it be to meet him before entering the fest? Or what is a suitable plan to go around this

So with the The Sherlocks basically confirmed as a secret set, guessing for the FR Stage, fist of all what size crowd do people think they are going to get, and how are they going to go down with the crowd?

Secondly other than that are the other most popular guesses for secret sets, IDLES for the pit, and Kasabian to possibly open the Radio 1 stage?

Agree that R1 secret set is probably not gonna happen, but I do at least think we'll get The S.L.P. or something - maybe he'll do a few Kasabian covers.

Really hope it is Idles on the pit, can see it being Neck Deep though
