Don't give up hope!!!!

For anyone that wasn't successful today

Please don't give up hope. Last year I managed to fail in every attempt I took to get tickets (Main sale, resale, working, secret sales) and two days before the festival won tickets.

try again Sunday, and if you're not successful:

keep an eye out for competitions (there will be ones from guardian, EE, local newspapers, BBC radio and here to come), in the next few weeks some of the working options will list last minute places for drop outs (oxfam etc) as well. Also get Neil's page checker and keep and eye out for the secret sale. You will get there just don't give up hope :)

Thanks Lucy - your optimism is contagious;

I think I have Sunday and competitions covered.  What do I do about working?  Would I need to have registered by now.

Sign up for oxfam and they'll email you when the next round comes out. Water aid, shelter etc might do places too. From memory dc site services has lots of places available near to the festival last year too. There's a glasto workers Fb as well that lists places that come available

I am in total agreement with @Lucy92 as we were both ticketless at this point last year. But together with a gang of fellow posters we chased every opportunity, and eventually succeeded!

My Glastonbury 2016 became reality on 24 May when I won 2 tickets via this forum.

Keep the faith!! :D

Getting nervous now but keeping the faith. Have been every year since 2008 and only not got in October once before and we managed to do a sneaky and get in the local resale (via literally 1000 phone call attempts between us). That was 3 years ago. Failed again this evening - fingers crossed for Sunday!

It was a competition, just entered my name and registration number! Unlike poor @Lucy92 who had to name tunes/artists live on Radio 1!! :D

ah amazing! well i hope they run it again this year :D already failed at radio 1s glastonbury competition, failed at the oxfam charity give away and yet to find out that i've failed the thatchers competition.

Found it from last years thread... https://www.dropbox.com/s/z8e423m1e32na75/Lucy.m4a?dl=0 ... nice and embarrassing

That is one of the best things I've heard. Shame Matt Edmundson didn't understand the significance of the moment and was trying to be funny when if he'd have listened would have understood.

Also you came across as being far more knowledgeable on all things music than some radio DJs.

Hearing that has cheered me up after this evening. So thank you!

I adore music, which is why that competition just suited me so well! Glad it cheered you up, keeping my fingers crossed for everyone Sunday.

This was up there as one of those efests moments that come around very rarely,  like Parson jack getting into the foos gig. Kalifires adoption of a stranger not taking being the festival so well was another that springs to mind, although I didn't read it till long after it was still a touching read
