Anyone else getting Primal Scream vibes from the ending? Very Come Together-esque

EDIT - I see I’m not the first to mention that, should have read back a page 🙈

Post Billie Eilish it's hardly surprising that she's cleaved off in a slightly different direction.

There needs to be an industry wide memo to remove Jack Antonoff from consideration on any big releases for the next few years.

While he is becoming too ubiquitous  the quality of albums like NFR!, folklore and Melodrama speaks for itself.

First listen on my walk this morning and I have to say it’s a nice listen, nothing that makes me worry about her next album.  It’s one of those sit in the sun with a drink in hand surrounded by friends type of songs (is the best way I can describe it)

He might be on the Bleachers promo trail for the next 18 months or so.

Yeah, 1989, folklore, NFR, Melodrama, Masseduction all renowned for being duff records.

And Christ, you lot sure woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It’s a press release for fucks sake. These things are often a load of waffle. Let’s see what the record is like.

Is it different when you wake up on one side of bed in the Southern Hemisphere? It's reversed right? Very hard to wrap my little head around, some might say bordering on impossible.

You’ve taken a press release incredibly personally 😂

Radiates condescending, trite, Coachella-ish living my best life upper class airs and graces. No nuance, just bad energy. Kind of person who snaps fingers at a waiter

She has always come across with a pretty detestable main character air about her, hasn't she?

I guess the hype used to be enough to obscure it, however.

She’s been a golden child for a long time so it doesn’t surprise me. If I became world famous at 15-16 I’d probably be a bit out out touch too.

Maybe her arse is on the cover because that’s where she believes the Solar Power is emanating from?

    • Even with the recent heavy showers it's too early to tell what site conditions would have been like.  The very hot spell would have certainly dried things up considerably, and rain since then has been equalled by a stiff breeze so, without the benefit of actually walking the site, I'd guess ground conditions at present are about perfect.   If we had a festival to look forward to I think the weather watchers would have been at the "all to play for" stage at present.
    • Hush cancelled with a similar event now taking place at EartH and Cate Le Bon doing her own show, maybe others have rearranged gigs?
    • Yeah I find it strange, if they were just a silly act then they wouldn't be headlining the 3rd stage. The likes of vengaboys yes but they aren't doing their own sizeable arena dates.  That looks very weak for what they could actually get, but GC aren't playing 3rd main stage with The 02 and the Coop arena and in a same slot that KSE are. MIW aren't carrying those two dates either, neither are Turnstile and Parkway Drive tickets didn't play out. You gotta do better than Ghost, Blink and Deftones though.    I think you are a bit even if that is not the intention. I'm genuinely shocked they booked them for the avalanche and I think it'll be rammed out of the tent. While ADTR will obviously get a lot too, many Download attendees will had the chance to see them at Slam Dunk. I think 90s fest getting Scooter was class and while there would have been some Download crossover, the Slam Dunk crossover given acts you get on the avalanche will be a different level.
