I still reckon you could argue that the second is only just behind the first. Well I could anyway ahah.

You could well be right. I'll give it another listen. First is just wall-to-wall bangers though, for me. Oh and I was at uni when it came out...

Had a quick look at some recent setlists and see they're opening with Turn the Page so now I'm all the way in.

I made a conscious decision, which with the benefit of hindsight I cannot fathom, not to bother with Heaton, thought it would be shit and full of sad cases in bucket hats lobbing piss around, but by all accounts it was genuinely brilliant. Went to Finsbury the year later and really enjoyed them, never bothered afterwards, really should have seen them at their first reunion shows.

That Shane Meadows film about them only really showed a glimpse of what it was like at Heaton too, fantastic gig and any of theirs I went to afterwards paled in comparison. Still enjoyable mind and Ian's vocals got better each time too. Squire was fantastic every single time though they just couldn't ever beat Heaton which I think they realised eventually.

The longer we go without any confirmations the more I think something big might come out of the blue. I do reckon we are grasping at the thinnest of slippery straws hoping for a Gaga.

I'm gonna keep on grasping till the poster comes. Gotta have a dream.

Yup. This is why I’m so surprised that the comeback is being mooted as such a big deal. I am trying to remember what year Mr.Skinner last did Glastonbury (2013?) but it was to a half empty JP Tent.  Neither band nor audience really wanted to be there....

2011. I'm not a massive fan but my mates were so I went along. Wish I hadn't as Mike Skinner was totally off his face and it was a terrible set. He was stood on a box or something shouting to the crowd "I can see you, can you see me" for about five minutes.?

So Skinner was both on and off his box?

Yup. That was the occasion. Not my favourite Glastonbury moment
