Well it will have been three whole years since they last played.

HollySOS
Hi, Please could you complete the following survey if you have attended or will be attending a music festival this summer. It is for my dissertation, and I would really appreciate your help! This forum normally gets quite a few responses, but you may struggle this year with Glasto being off. Good luck with your studies!

Thanks for sticking me with the 18 year olds, a lot surveys put 25 year olds with the 30s, I'm not an old man yet.

Thank you! https://chester.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/exploring-the-motivations-behind-festival-attendance Completed, but one thing to note - there are lots of people aged over 45 and having a single 45+ option is introducing a bias into the results. I know I've closed down festival questionnaires in the past if I find that I'm in the bucket "30 odd until death" category. Especially when there are options that only cover 7 years. *grumpy nearly-40 year old man rant over* Edited February 23, 2018 by stuartbert two hats
HollySOS
Thanks to everyone who has completed this survey so far! In response to the ‘45+’ comment, I was trying to separate people into their stages of life, i.e. school age, university age, young and older adults! Didn’t want to upset anyone! Meerkat
Would Glastonbury be interested in Kings of Leon anymore? Unless the R+L show is just a one off I'm guessing they'e going to have a new album out by Glasto 2019, wouldn't be a popular choice on here but still a headliner sized act I'd say. My early prediction would be Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon and either Madonna or Fleetwood Mac
ghostdancer1
I don't see it, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility if they're stuck. they're still doing arena tours and big outdoor gigs, so on the same level as plenty of other acts that are possibilities. they're no less irrelevant than Muse in 2016 either. dentalplan
Unless they start gambling a bit more on headliners, they’ve probably no option but to hit up the stock festival headline options (Kings of Leon being chief among these) for another crack of the whip. Or maybe inviting old legacy acts back. I suppose most of those would be okay.

In fact - dead David Bowie aside obviously - it’s just The Who and Rod that probably aren’t on the list.
