Weather 2017

Having had a look at a few different weather forecasts this morning, it seems most are in agreement that the next few days will bring some rain, but after that, looking quite dry leading up to the end of next week.

So as long as we don't see heavy rain the few days before the festival, definitely looking much better than last year.

Right then, so who/when are we looking at for forecasts at the moment? Are we still too far out for some? What are those Norwegians saying?

The Netweather geeks are talking about some serious heat during the run up to the festival. Phrases such as "Flaming June" and "Azores High" are even being bandied about.

Unfortunately extreme heat often ends in extreme Thunderstorms so hoping we dont peak too soon!

General consensus is that we are in for a spell of dry, warm weather after this weekend - after that it's a bit up in the air.

This is very true and often overlooked. Everywhere seems so much busier when its super muddy because you are pretty much confined to the metal walkways when trying to get anyway. It makes a lot of the site seem so much smaller.

As someone who has been to every glasto for the last 10 years apart from 2010, I'm willing to take my chances on a hot and sunny one!

Aye you didn't do 2010. I'd take a rainy one over 2010 all day.

We live on a cold, wet island.

I get it...it just occurs to me, Bonnaroo is kicking off today, and their forecast is 24, 27, 30, 31 for the 4 days...I guarantee to a man every person there will walk away relieved that it wasn't "a hot one"

I have to raise an eyebrow any time anyone says 2010 was worse than the likes of last year, you can pour water over yourself and create your own rain I can't conjure sunshine when it's pissing it down. I'd rather leap out of my tent sweating in trainers than staring at the rain and mud outside my tent lacing up already heavily muddy boots any day.

2010 nearly did for me cos my skin is super-reactive to UV. So I had to cover up all the time and be waaay too hot.  It was pretty horrible until the sun went down.  This year I have made a hooded 'sun cloak' so I can cover up but still catch a breeze.  No weather shall defeat me. I'm good to go.

(For balance, I also re-waterproofed my cagoule last night.)

Get a heat-repelling heat.  There are two brands on the market now that can make your morning considerably cooler.

I'd bloody love too. But I couldn't convince the misses to have two separate tents so we could have one of the fresh & blacks each :(
