UK Outlook for Sunday 11 Jun 2017 to Tuesday 20 Jun 2017:

An unsettled outlook is likely at the start of the period. Windy with showers or perhaps more persistent rain for most areas but some intermittent drier spells; these more likely further east. Rain will be heavy at times, this more likely in the north and west where thunder could feature. Thundery outbreaks could also affect the south-east with the introduction of some warmer air from the continent. The unsettled theme looks set to continue, particularly in north-western areas with stronger winds and some further spells of rain likely, but perhaps drier and brighter in the south. A period of more settled weather should then develop which may bring drier and brighter conditions across the UK by mid-week, feeling warmer by day but sometimes chilly overnight.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 21 Jun 2017 to Wednesday 5 Jul 2017:

A quiet spell of weather seems more likely around the start of this period with settled, bright and mainly dry conditions, especially for southern areas. Signals then become rather weak, but favour a more changeable picture with spells of rain or showers; these most frequent in western areas, with drier interludes. Temperatures look most likely to be above normal, with a chance of some very warm weather perhaps for eastern areas. However, there is low confidence for this scenario.

So all models are saying it's going to be dry from 11-19 June, then it's uncertain. The festival opens 21 June.

Basically they are really saying is that it should be a dry warm June but because Glastonbury is on we can't rule out rain.

My experience in this country is that if it doesn't rain for a week, then the probability of it raining goes up exponentially.

Yeah this. As the festival gets closer I'll start obsessing to the smallest detail, but at this stage I'm happy enough with this being the general outlook. Middle of the road, bang average, expected weather patterns.

To be fair anything longer than a 5 day forecast is educated guess work. Anything longer than 10 days is speculation as wild as the really big secret thread.

Now, if we revolve the throat circle back to the West Country, and you can see there'll be several gits of bad weather across most of the sky. Some rain, but no more severe than soft porn.

The latest Lambas charts are in, they show a per-eminence of badger bars over bodger bars, with a slight temptation of intermittent foofoo tri-lyptics.  Mid to long term we're seeing a definite move toward a shatner oscillation, with tight or loose cake movements to the east of northampton.

I think that's pretty accurate, anything else is just pure speculation at this present time.

Don't be suckered in by Accuweathers click bait predictions! They promote good weather so you share their forecasts around. Stick to more realistic predictions such as the met office or @The Nal
