Not a clue, I've never used them either! From what I understand though I think the idea is to make them rustle in the wind as much as possible.

In 2011 I went to the site in shoes, with my wellies in my bag. That was the year of the Wednesday deluge so my shoes got fucking ruined. Ever since then I've had the fear, and have always traveled in my wellies, and reassed the situation once onsite. 

I'm really tempted to travel down in trainers (providing the outlook remains positive).

Travel in shoes with your boots somewhere accessible and make a call when you get to the gates.

There is still that pesky low coming up from west of Spain sometime after Friday afternoon. Looks at the moment like the high will be west enough to keep it out the way but so much can change.

Weather

This is the weather site I use, really for wind as I am a kite buggy nut.

Ford Farm weather station is about 15miles NW of Pilton.

If this is right I'll be happy

My wife bought me a wellie bag last night. As were going on coach we don't want to wear willies to travel in and they'll take up too much rucksack room.

I'm hopeful of putting those fuckers in that bag and not taking the bastards back out once I'm there.

Its an epidemic that has taken hold of this country. The politicians don't want to deal with the problem, those affected struggle to come to terms with their addiction and its a viscious cycle of dispair and discomfort.

I'm going in with trainers and leaving the wellies in the boot, hopefully they'll stay there all week.

I always avoid wearing willies whenever possible.
