Potentially, but generally speaking most people don't think they are big enough just yet for a pyramid sub slot, who knows though stranger things have happened

Not sure I think they are big enough either, to be honest. However, they are 1000 times more worthy of that slot than Kaiser Chiefs which is obviously the rumour floating about just now.

What a lot of people thought but it looks like they're gonna be on the Friday due to their tour dates.

Ah ok apologies for not being up on the info, been a bit vacant on here as of late and haven't scrolled back, they are better suited to other as well imo

Album is out in June.

New single is hottest record this week or next.

And there's their high placing on the lineup finally justified. Won't be there but glad to hear this - found bands returning in high placements with no new (known) material last year a bit off (Two Door Cinema Club fifth down the Pyramid, Bastille subbing Other etc).

Although not a fan I'll probably give this a listen, if anything just to see if there have been any big reinventions in their sound or if they're happy to just stick to what they know until people don't care anymore.

I'm interested by the new stuff, I got well into them a couple of years ago and loved their John Peel Tent set (and subsequently their Manchester Ritz show) but the album lost replay value and the sound that at first was relatively exciting and loud just made me want to listen to QOTSA or Drenge instead. If they can mix it up I'm all for it though, seem like decent enough lads.

A new record doesn't make a position for an artist justified unless it lives upto something

Well they were already playing third down at festivals with their first album so new material coming before the festival just means they're good to be in a similar position now rather than it being a wasted slot of songs we've seen two/three years prior.

Maybe although it was 3rd at one festival and only 3rd because it was a sole UK Fest Exclusive and it actually was that time.
