Amy Lawn
We, the people, hereby demand that Sufjan Stevens bring his festival show of maximalist pop brilliance to Glastonbury in 2017. After many years of shunning festivals, Sufjan (Subaru to his friends and swimming instructors) toured America last year with an extravagant stage show which had been purpose built for festival crowds. If anything, this career-spanning epic of joy was too good for the Americans, and it's only just that this carnival rolls around to Worthy Farm next year; the ultimate festival set at the world's best festival. As a sample of the sort of thing we're campaigning for, here is footage of his set from Sasquatch festival. Our demands are clear and simple; a set lasting no less than one hour and ten minutes, on either the Pyramid during the daytime or a headline set on the groovy new John Peel stage.
Pilgrim S
Would be brilliant.
CaledonianGonzo
Not sure that the festival want to propagate the current 'Killer Clown' trend by having a man on the main stage singing about John Wayne Gacy Jr.
FatAmmy
Saw his set at Boston Calling - would indeed be an excellent booking

Chawk
It would be amazing. But is it like possible at all? No tour at the moment and doesn't seem like the type to tour 3 years straight after an album.
Alex DeLarge
Please! (And please no Radiohead clash either)

FuzzyDunlop
He wasn't a name I was particularly familiar with the reletively recently through this forum. Really enjoyed Illinoise, plus the live stuff I saw. I'd be on this clash permitting. Edited October 13, 2016 by FuzzyDunlop

buddiepaul
I saw him at End of the Road in 2015 and it was really special. I would be there in a flash if he played.
Mezhyp1
Radiohead clashing with Sufjan Stevens haha, imagine the scenes

I reckon he's a bigger potato than your average Park headliner. Certainly much bigger than this year's three, and a similar size to the WH and JP headliners. I don't know that the wee Park stage can contain his majestic grandiose pageantry.
CHRLY
Sufjan has had a pretty decent surge of popularity off the back of Carrie and Lowell, I feel. I reckon he could even fit in towards the top of the Other. Although, does he have any touring plans for next summer? Seems like a long time on the road for one album. Mash011
I will settle for nothing less than Impossible Soul on the Pyramid, followed by Bon Iver and then Radiohead. Thanks. x
Amy Lawn
Age of Adz on the turntable for a Saturday night in. Unbelievable stuff, I wish I'd not been too poor for a ticket when he toured this album.
