Are back with their 7th album.

It's been a while since they played Glasto ... obviously they're not big enough to headline anymore but could they fit in elsewhere?

How are they obviously not big enough to headline? More like they'd only play if they headline therefore won't play, same as like The Killers, RHCP.

Another act for R+L I reckon.

With the numerous acts in the frame for next year, I can't see KoL coming back to headline again in 2017. Maybe beyond that, but certainly not next year.

no, they can headline multiple major festivals around the world, no chance they'd do anything other than Pyramid headliner at Glastonbury.

In 2009 TOOL played above them at Lollapalooza.

well if "us" is the paying public; a big radio-friendly guitar band with lots of well-known hits and number 1 albums, most of them since after they last played Glastonbury.

for them: exposure and recognition in support of a new album.

Shame they went from a being decent band to being absolutely embarrassing, not sure even the Sex On Fire crowd care about them anymore. If they only played songs from their first two albums, it could be a decent set.

last tour think there played at St James Park which sounds like a huge venue but it was a reduced capacity. 

Tickets were pretty much been given away near the day and don't think the attendance was more then 25 thousand. 

Shows how far the band have dropped since 3 years before there were selling out the stadium of light with 5  thousand. 

Not a Glastonbury headliner anymore

Absolutely no interest in seeing them but that Temple song piqued my interest a bit a couple of years ago, though not enough to listen to the album.

First three albums were all very good, peaked with the track Milk imo.

And they get brownie points for being one of the few acts from the US at that time who regularly played in the North East. Fuck you Strokes!!

What happened to Kings of Leon, just no spark that made them unique. New single just sounds like it could be any indie band

Waste A Moment is a great song. Kings of Leon are a fantastic band. At their peak they might have been massively overplayed, but they still remain a fantastic band. I hope they play next year, although I don't consider it likely.

Ah ok, didn't know that. Met them briefly at Glasto 04. Year I had VIP tickets. Seemed nice enough.

If I met them now I'd run away in case they started singing Sex On Fire.

Glastonbury can always do better, so it won't happen

defintely not in 2017 anyway, too many other options 

I'd say expect them at R&L or probably V Festival again
