The bookers obviously has a formula -_-

Up and coming act / relevant cool headliner that appeals to the demographic/ classic headliner.

As long as they stick with that, I wouldn't have thought the size of the act would matter as long as its an actual headliner and within budget...

I'm worried though, that IF this lineup is one of the best ever blah blah blah that they are setting themselves an extremely difficult job to keep up next year. Similar to (In my opinion) the headliner quality from 2015 to 2016

It doesn't. He could announce whatever he wants and claim it's the biggest yet. It's a claim that can never be proven to be false. Michael Eavis claims he's booked the biggest lineup yet every year.

Valid point, I only raised it because its not something latitude normally claim looked through 2015/16 announcements earlier and I've seen "acts announced tomorrow" rather than "Biggest lineup yet!".

Also with Mumford booked, in terms of popularity, they're one of the biggest booking latitude has made. In my opinion (and I don't like them)

Don't worry about next year! Who knows who will be touring then. Snow Patrol might reunite! Haha -_-

Not to get your hopes up, but this Dork article (https://readdork.com/news/it-looks-like-the-1975-have-just-confirmed-themselves-for-latitude/), for the past 12 hours contained information about Mumford and Sons also teasing a headline spot at Latitude but have only just taken it out.

Could this imply that Mumford are actually headlining Longitude instead? I know that tends to have larger acts (e.g. Kendrick, Major Lazor) so they could easily do that. Dork deleted the Mumford bit after getting the press release, maybe?

And you could argue that someone like Lorde is a big headline act, especially as she is headlining Osheaga alongside Muse and The Weeknd

That would make a LOT of sense....

Finally made an account so I can actually post.

We've got our tickets for this year, and I for one am excited about The 1975, but then again I am the teen female audience you all seem to despair of.

Would love to see Newton Faulkner there too, not long now until we know for sure
