Yoghurt on a Stick
A crazy event just happend here. My wife and a friend were listening to music downstairs when I heard a large bang. Then I heard them shouting for me to get downstairs fast stating that the amplifier was on fire. I got dowstairs in time to see the fire in the amp reduce itself to a burning caustic smelling smoke. I quickly dismantled the leads and carried the amp out of the house. I'm just glad people were around when the amp decided to blow it's own brains out. Now we are without music once again (In the last four years we have had music systems break on us at regular intervals to the point that we are now in to double figures on the devices that have failed us). What an odd event.

On the amp front, Cambridge Audio from Richer Sounds offer pretty good sound for a decent price.

Hello stuartbert, No, the light bulbs are fine, as is the rest of the music equipment. We are probably just going to get a Bose Soundlink so that we can use it in the shop and at home. Our last music system was stolen from the shop along with my ipod with all our music on it. We really don't have much luck with music systems. Ho hum. Hope that you are well. H.M.V
At the bus stop waiting for my bus into town to meet me Bessie briefly then on to the airport and home again. Feeling so much better and can breathe again metaphorically and literally. Nose has cleared. Can't wait to just get back to normality whatever that is and see my yeti and pooches for lots of cuddles. Hugs to all with or without electrical issues.

You can take two of each for ultimate over the counter woozy goodness! I'm not sure our resident doctor would approve, but he's too busy talking electronica to have time for us these days Edited January 7, 2017 by stuartbert two hats Electronica, not electronics

Only good thing about ops is the awesome drugs. Lol I'm on a plane and unusually happy about this. Im not a good flyer but happy about getting out of here. (my usual Dublin visit to the gin palace helped ssshhhhhh) See you on the other side my lovelies.

That's the modern day thing isn't it? Hello sheffieldlady, I think their priorities were to panic and then shout out for me to deal with it before the flames spread and the house caught fire. You are right though I should admonish them for missing out on a potential viral / money making event. Talking of which, I have an idea for something which I'd like to go viral (in my dreams it does anyway). I must work on that this year and not just let it drift like a lot of my 'brain wave ideas'. I have spoken to others about it and they have, in all honestly, said that it's a cracking idea. Two of these people are young computer whizz kids who have a handle (yes, I really did say that) on the current zeitgeist (yep, I really did say that too). Brunette
Sending virtual hugs and get well wishes to those of you with poorliness, exploding sound systems and suffering the wrath of 'family'..haven't seen my brother for years and Mum and Dad ignore the fact and talk about him to me like we're still happy siblings. Good weekend here as my eldest son is home from Berlin to stay in Sheffield with me for a couple of days so much beer, wine, (and sloe gin shots) will be consumed along with the curries. Just missing Mr B who has to stay home down in Notts looking after our 4 woofers who aren't allowed in my little pad up here. Happy weekend all.. especially those of you on the Boots concoctions
Yoghurt on a Stick
I tried a morphine patch not so long ago and was very dissapointed as I couldn't discern any difference from before and after taking it. Quite dissapointing as I was hoping for a valium like experience. Hello Brunette. Hope that you have a lovely time with your son. You certainly seem to have all the ingredients in place. Wish they would just give me morph lol My wife has to take the maximum amount of Gabapentin you can have daily. The doctor said that the only pain killer he had left in is artillery would be to prescribe morphine but he was loath to do that. I take one of her strongest Gabapentins every so often and can confirm that I like them. They produce a woozy spaced out kind of experience. Going off on a tangent a little I recall that I once read that scientists had obtained a pain killer via the use of a South American frog which was several hundred times more powerful than morphine. You never hear about it being an option for doctors to use here though. You would have thought that more people would know about it, especially if it was used by the military for bomb blast victims and the like.
