Broken Social Scene

Does anyone know the score with Broken Social Scene? Are they promoting a new album? Or is it likely to be a "greatest hits" kinda set?

Had a quick look online and couldn't see anything but wondered if anyone had heard or read anything?

I used to really really love them, I thought their self titled album was one of the best things ever, had it in my top ten best albums ever list. 

I kind of got turned off with Forgiveness Rock Record at the time. I think I wanted my guitars more noisey and skronky, but I revisited it today and its pretty good! Sunny and summery.

So, yeah, really looking forward to them!

Really not sure what to expect - everyone's been doing their own thing, with much participation. Who knows, I understand Feist made a booking at Shaftesbury Parachute Club for that weekend.

Apparently they have been working on a new record as Broken Social Scene. Not sure of any details, but I could see some new material being played at EOTR.  Their bio on the Electric Picnic website says the album will be released in 2017 - http://www.electricpicnic.ie/line-up/artist/broken-social-scene
