Juggling chainsaws?

Saw an amazing act in the Circus tent, his big finale was riding a unicycle while juggling two knives and running chainsaw. Was a brilliant act but... how the hell do they manage to get health and safety/risk assurance clearance for this? It didn't appear to be a trick, they demonstrated the chainsaw cutting through some fruit, and it was modified to keep the blade running while not being held. But one slip or one drunk/high nutter running at the stage or throwing something...

It seems to me it'd be hard enough to get an act like that cleared in a dedicated space where you have a crowd barrier and so on... and I'm sure personal liability is covered - plenty of acts do stuff that's potentially dangerous to themselves but this was a clear case of a fuck-up potentially maiming an audience member. Obviously people can make their own judgement on the act (I saw a couple of people sat at the front walk out, while I was sat far back enough to enjoy it!) but I'm curious how this stuff can legally happen in a world when I can't buy more than 16 ibuprofen at once for safety reasons?
