This just gave me goosebumps, what a stunning version. I hope The Staves stay involved with Bon Iver going forward

Amy Lawn
Headlined The Park after album 1 no? I've seen them in Manchester Arena and headlining Latitude, so definitely too big for The Park now.

Most people were being bored by the boss so it was sparse enough to set up a blanket, sit down and still see the whole stage and hear it perfectly. Stunning stuff. Other Stage Head or Pyr Sub id imagine. Id have said that about Sigur Ros tho and look where they ended up! dj_tim
http://pitchfork.com/news/65422-bon-iver-to-premiere-new-album-live-on-friday/ "Bon Iver will premiere their new album at a live performance this Friday, August 12, at Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner's Eaux Claires festival in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The title and release date for the follow-up to 2011’s Bon Iver have not been announced yet. But the words "22 Days" seem to be involved somehow, based on a recent teaser video, artwork and hashtags that have shown up on Bon Iver's social media accounts, and a new Brooklyn mural (as Stereogum points out.)" zero000
That is absolutely brilliant news. I really hope they come to the UK next year. The closest I've got to seeing Bon Iver was the weird Kanye cameo last year. I need more!

FloorFiller
new songs aren't a total far cry from the last album... just a bit weirder. guess it depends on what kind of setlists he ends up doing but maybe subbing the Pyramid isn't the best place for him
stocky3000
yea, I did think this new album would be alot more 'accessible' but certainly not woth those two tracks. Neither have me from the off but hopefully they grow
SwedgeAntilles
Would much rather he headlined the JP than subbed the Pyramid so I'm quite happy with this.
Porcelina
Really, really like these new tracks - natural evolution and follows on from what he's been doing over the last few years nicely.
Mash011
Urrrgh these are fantastic. This'll be getting a lot of Album of the Year awards - the ones Radiohead don't manage to sweep up, at least.
T-Mouse
Within the context of the album im sure track 2 will shine however as a standalone single its not grabbing me. Track 1 tho is vintage Bon. New Bon Iver and a new Premier League season. Today is a good day
nikkic
Just managed to give the new tracks a quick listen. Will need to give them a proper listen tomorrow but first impressions are very good, really excited about the new album now!
dentalplan
Yeah I had a feeling he'd be drawing inspiration from the stuff he's done with James Blake and Yeezy but I didn't know if he'd be able to pull it off. Certainly seems like he will based on these two; keeping the stuff he got big off but adding flavour to it.
stocky3000
what have the reviews of his show been like when he played the album in full?
TomViolence
Loving the new tracks! Their sound hasn't veered away from what we know as much as I expected but I'm still really impressed. Crossing everything to see them booked for next year! Subbing the Pyramid though... really??

Headlined the likes of Latitude and played arenas on the last album tour so assuming the interest is still there, size-wise it seems about right, but obviously if the rest of the album is as quirky as these two songs and he continues to play so heavily from the new album then it'd probably go down like a lead balloon (before Radiohead though..?). A hard act to place. Other headliners seem to fall in to the electronic category these days, although there could obviously be an exception, and he just seems too big for JP headliner to me (yes, bigger than Sigur Ros)
cb4747
@Michaelgball we have to see Bon Iver if they play next year
The Nal
Christ the new stuff is fucking dreadful. Unsurprisingly. I'm sure we'll hear it in one those God awful Wes Anderson movies at some stage. Made for each other!

Oh I definitely don't dispute their size, it's more this that I worry about. Other Headliner is my preferred option but I guess that's the only other realistic alternative. Tbf, I'll be delighted wherever they're booked if it happens!
