How do you guys go about drinking from boxes of wine? I have only ever taken cans of beer to festivals but after last year's nightmare of carrying 42 cans of kronenbourg across the entire site because we parked in the wrong car park I want to cut down on weight.

Do you just carry the bag of wine around in a bag and squirt it straight into your mouth when you want some or do you take cups and drink from them?

Plastic glasses - so to speak.

I pack a few empty 75cl plastic water bottles and each day I decant one bottle's worth of wine into one from the box, then carry that around with me for the day. Drink straight from the 'sports cap' or whatever they're called. Usually a single bottle is fine for the day as I save it for the evening after earlier ciders and beers, unless I know I'll be doing more than usual sharing around of it when I'll bring two!

I would give you another one. Up vote that is. It would appear that I'm still out of them. I can't really remember too much about last night, but now know that I must have been trigger happy with the up votes.

If it's not too personal a question, where do you camp (apart from everywhere possible)? I'd like to meet you and your gang. Will you and your crew be going to the efests meet up - if we all get in on time to have a meet up?

We've been on CVW in previous years, but this year we're in worthy view. No real plan at the moment, but Possibly be going to the efest meet, but we'll see how the sherbet dips ;)

what about the 1.5lt wine pouches from Asda ? anyone tried them ?

the spouse is taking cans of G&T this year so not sharing the wine, so i thought the slightly smaller size would be convenient for me, I have got the Shiraz and the Malbec.... anyone tried it ?

It's not red wine but whatever you do, do not, and I repeat do not, buy those £4 boxes of Perry from Aldi.

I finished one of those in a few hours on the Thursday night at William's Green and the rest is history.

I've gone for the Tesco Malbec, you guys convinced me. £15.50 for 2.25litres. It better be good! :P

They also had a 3litre box of 'Spanish Red' which was cheaper at £14. I wavered but stayed with my initial choice

you won't regret it, it's very drinkable.

When I went to do my online shop, the Tesco Malbec had sold out... can anyone offer a last minute decent substitute for me?

Considering freezing a box (bag) of Rose to take with us. Good or bad idea peeps?

My only concern about that would be bashing it all in within a few hours while it's chilled. I can go through white and rose in a ridiculously short period of time, and as much as I love being swallied on vino, it's not really suited to my long term game. I'm a slurrer after I'm half way through the second!!
