I agree, they’ve done a really good job of widening the net of possible headliners. They’ve got themselves in a great position where they’re able to attract artists they normally wouldn’t be able to afford, even if it is just a one off. If it wasn’t for that they’d have been stuck in an endless loop of dull repeat headliners. Imagine the 2007 Pyramid but forever….

"Meanwhile, rumours that Oasis might fill the Legends spot were quashed when the band insisted that was not the case." OK. Sheeran's playing Germany G weekend. -
Indeed and I strongly believe they’ll be at RW. I think there is some over-enthusiasm atm in many people due to their come-back (and that’s normal) that may make them look “bigger” but after a year of touring that will probably fade away. Unless they release a new Meteora somehow… Btw, speaking of 2017…I still remember the change in vibe when they came out after 1h+ of the whole meadow shaking during SOAD. Imo, big mistake at the time from the organisers to place them after SOAD, especially with the more “Pop” approach they had taken with their latest album. I remember being disappointed and talking with my friends about how much of a downer that was, even laughing when they were trying to provoke reactions from the crowd after every song. And then, a couple of weeks later, the news about Chester came out…😔
