It seems very odd that he's apparently not touring at all this year and would play Glastonbury. I can't imagine the festival has any special significance to him which would make him want to drag himself out on tour for a one off show. If he is there, makes you wonder if he has a big slot to justify the fact it's the only show he's doing. 

Do we know if Adele has a particular connection with him? Is D'Angelo her favourite artist of all time or something? Who the fuck knows.

From what I've read, he seems to have done a few festivals and shows here and there in Europe , so wouldn't be unusual for him. Seems he's had some issues over the years. This is an interesting review with some background:

maybe he'll announce UK/European dates soon, and this went up early by accident?

if you look at the poster design, the colours go in the order red, blue, hot pink, white, pink, green, yellow. there are a few occasions on the poster where this doesn't happen, like hot pink being skipped in between Beck and ELO, which was amended by D'Angelo being added, and there are a couple of other times when colours are missed out (no hot pink between Fatboy Slim and BMTH. no white between Two Door Cinema Club and Jake Bugg. possibly more) which could suggest acts being slotted in...

I was thinking about this too much also and trying to make some sort of tedious connection between the pink text and the colour of the logo seen on Radiohead's website recently

The Weeknd was on the original poster but was replaced by Bobby Womack.

The difference here though is that it was a straight replacement. Although they didnt say what happened to The Weeknd, they did announce Bobby Womack

D'Angelo pulled out and was replaced last minute by Sigur Rós who were around which explains why Glasto wasn't included in their 2 UK dates and why they are on WH.

Also means they're Saturday.

Hadn't realised that. Maybe the two are linked, was due to do both, then backed out. Was all set, was on the poster, backs out gets deleted from the poster. Then some poor sap cocks up and uploads the old poster.
