I'll buy one of these if the forecasts get worse. No idea where we can park it though

I read somewhere on here that someone bought one of these to Glastonbury instead of a tent a couple of years back.  Bought for £30 second hand, would've come in handy in 2005.

Just imagine if the festival had been this week. Bloody hell - it's been horrendous. Everyone would have been handed a complete soaking setting up camp, and we would still be wet now.

Could so easily have been.

I'm really not a fan of the pre-festival weather watch. In fact, I hate it.

I'd love the BBC forecast to be right but let's be honest, they're gonna be optimistic. Half their employees are gonna be working the whole weekend, I'm sure they dont want to put a dampener (excuse the pun) on it

It's from the Met Office forecast. Met Office are in Exeter, so half their employees will be at the festival and the other half will be in the South West. Hmm

So basically the main focus of bbc weather is to make sure all their employees turn up for work at glastonbury?

All this pre festival rain is good for the grass. Plus it means that someone doesn't have to go around painting it green so it looks nice for when we get there. It couldn't have been planned any better.

It doesn't really matter. You should pack for both possibilities.  Anyone even approaching that farm without decent footwear that can cope with mud is heading for a spreading

Come on FF you know better than that. Pack for a biblical monsoon or the gods will be displeased and punish you.

I keep getting pop ups for Russian brides. It has nothing to do with this thread.

    • Reading seems to have sold really well this year from the posts they've made re. tickets. I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon, I think for the vast majority in here (myself included) it just doesn't cater to us. That said, if I was still under the age of 18 I'd be thrilled with the Reading lineup this year (not so much Leeds).
