I read somewhere on here that someone bought one of these to Glastonbury instead of a tent a couple of years back.  Bought for £30 second hand, would've come in handy in 2005.

Just imagine if the festival had been this week. Bloody hell - it's been horrendous. Everyone would have been handed a complete soaking setting up camp, and we would still be wet now.  

Could so easily have been.

I'm really not a fan of the pre-festival weather watch. In fact, I hate it.

I think we dodged a bullet in 2012. If the festival had been on that year it would have been a washout.

It always seems to rain at IOW, the fact that Glastonbury is at the end of June must help a bit, cant always escape the rain and sometime its horrendous but surely on average it would be worse if it was even a week early every year.

All this pre festival rain is good for the grass. Plus it means that someone doesn't have to go around painting it green so it looks nice for when we get there. It couldn't have been planned any better.

It doesn't really matter. You should pack for both possibilities.  Anyone even approaching that farm without decent footwear that can cope with mud is heading for a spreading
