I've been told to only ever trust BBC when it comes to weather forcasts so that's what I'm gonna do! STICK.

Someone actually told you to trust the BBC, were their names Stuart or Jimmy perhaps?

I'll take anything better than it currently is in Edinburgh. Which, like 360 days of the year, it's cold and pissing it down.

Stu, this is not rain, just a bit of drizzle.  Nothing compared to Manchester on Monday?

2013 was pretty decent. I had to go and change my shoes on Thursday as my converse got a bit mud-soaked at Arcadia, but then by Friday it was ok again. 2011 was hard going on the first few days, because there was thick, deep mud everywhere. You either had to slowly shuffle along the metal paths, or brave losing a welly!

The Friday night in '11 was absolutely FREEZING cold. Horrific, one of the worst nights ive spent outdoors in my life.

Yep - something weird was going on. I had a two t-shirts, a jumper and a fleece on and I was still frozen.

2014 was worse than 2013. 2013 I remember safe wearing of trainers by Friday evening.

aye 2013 it rained heavily for a few hours on the Thursday and then i think that was that? pretty glorious for the rest of the weekend. whereas in 2014 we got the storm and then a few more showers every once in a while. would take a repeat of 2013 in a heartbeat

As per usual the temperature by Sunday in 2011 was fiendishly hot. People soaked to the fucking skin 48 hours prior to getting fried like bacon.

I managed to severely burn the backs of my hands on Sunday. That was a new one!

Too far out to tell and all that obviously, but the Met Office/BBC (same thing for now) is looking pretty good until Wednesday. By Monday they'll be covering the whole weekend and will be interesting to see if they have showers. I'd always trust the govt funded sites over the commercial ones and local forecasters over remote ones and so I'd trust Met Office most, then yr.no (Norway) and ECWMF (EC) equally, then GFS (US).

I'm still sticking with showers. Probably a repeat of last year.

2013 rained on Thursday for 4-5 hours and dried up very quickly. I was back in trainers by 11pm. 2013 was great.

This year however looks completely shit. If it continues to rain until Wednesday and we get any rain at all when we arrive we're fucked.

Would agree 13 was top conditions, last year was good too, didn't wear anything bar trainers either years

To my recollection it rained twice last year, for about an hour Friday afternoon and early hours Sunday morning the rest of time it was glorious.

Whats being reported is nowhere near that...

It rained a lot more than that on the Friday. If I remember it had been raining a bit on and off the morning and early afternoon, then pissed it down for a good few hours the afternoon (it was raining when we left Duke Special at 5pm, we walked all the way to Strummerville for Frank Turner, and it rained all then, and through that entire set).

i don't remember the morning rain but it was definitely raining for a good few hours during the day on the Friday - watched both Alabama Shakes and Mary J Blige as it was on and off pissing it down. think it was on and off a bit after that but remember the sun coming out for Run The Jewels a bit later and it stayed nice from then on i believe

I remember it absolutely pissing it down for The Gaslamp Killer.  Tried to stick it out with the 200 or so others at West Holts but decided to run for cover.  All in all though the conditions were pretty ideal.  It never got uncomfortably muddy like 2007.

I was there too. I stuck it out. Was awesome!
