How much do glastonbury pay headliners

The Stones got about £250k which was described as the "bog standard fee". Reading/Leeds headliners can command up to £1million (for two shows).

Glastonbury has always sold itself to headliners on name and prestige rather than fees.

I think the Glastonbury number is correct - but if reports are to be believed, then R/L have paid significantly more than that on occasion - they gave the Libertines 1.5 million in 2010, and had them as sub.

I thought the Libertines got £1m for that and we're paid more than Arcade Fire who headlined. I could be wrong though.

Reports at the time definitely said 1.5m - but lets be honest, given that the number quite possibly came from Pete it could've easily been exaggerated up from 20 quid and a case of beer - we'll never know for certain what the truth is.
