I sadly wasn't there, but I'm sure it was fantastic. The album is great. I did manage to see them on of the Beeb's highlights shows though, which was fun. They seem like a lot of fun as well.

I was going to go, but I was already drunk and laughing at the Guardian's reporting of the Tunisian beach attack. I was in no state for serious music.

Dunno if 'serious' is the word. It was pretty raucous at points, and an upbeat show rather than a mournful one.

Serious might not be the right word. I didn't mean sombre, but requiring a higher level of music appreciation than I was in the mood for.

No, not there either. A quick look at the Clashfinder suggests I wasn't anywhere. That's worrying.

 

Or looking for food. Probably that. Spent a lot of time watching people misjudge the slide in the Greenpeace field one lunchtime, so could be then.

 

Anyway I'm hijacking this thread - tell me more about their set. Was it just the two of them?

I'm not sure who they clashed with now ? A big love for them and the album, but they definately clashed with someone or else I would have been there. I think the set I was watching ended the minute theirs began so I couldn't hot foot it up to the Park in time considering they only had a 30 in slot I seem to remember.

although i enjoyed Courtney Barnett (somewhat), i definitely made the wrong choice by going to see her over these. hoping they'll be rebooked next/in the next coupe of years (although obviously them early on the Park is the perfect slot for them)

They're actually touring the UK in November. Toying with the King Tuts show, but it's on a schoolnight.

Yes - definitely. One of this year's highlights.

Yes, me and my mates liked them, even though we were all hideously hung over from the night before.  Watched Frank Turner on the Other, then wandered up to the Park for these and Giant Sand......nice way to cure the head!!

Didn't manage to catch them but heard good things about their set from someone in our group. I saw their 'secret' set at Primavera though and they were superb!
